Looks like the rival authority to the BBBofC is having a slow death , so far in the traditional boxing season sept to December they've sanctioned 2 shows which had a total of 3 bouts on them , and looking forward they've only got 3 more shows planned with about 6 bouts on . The boxers must be getting pretty frustrated now with the lack of opportunity to earn money , I wonder if many are exploring the route of applying for BBB of C licences if they haven't been knocked back before ?

There is a championship evening (WBU) in Bradford 25th November

Some biba fighters are now in IBF rankings and due to fight for IBF regional titles. Will boxrec recognise these? I'd I,shine so if they are not on BIBA sanctioned shows

It will be interesting to see if any IBF titles are contested in the U.K. on BIBA shows.

What I think will be more interesting regarding BIBA/MBC and the IBF is wether the IBF will allow the level of opponents that I have witnessed
box for titles in BIBA/MBC fight for their titles? If they allow similar types of fighters box for their titles then imo it will cheapen the IBF brand, if BIBA/MBC boxers fight already rated IBF boxers then they deserve their shot at the titles.

I just wonder if they will manage to get the higher rated fighters to fight on a BIBA/MBC show as they won't have the budgets to bring over top fighters especially with no TV revenue.

it's not that B.I.B.A is having a slow death by any standards, they might only show the professional fights listed but often on the undercard you have 'semi-pro' or 'white collar' fights on the undercard to bulk up the event, it's just that they don't get listed.

The BBB of C has been around a lot longer and having a world recognised nation title (British) and regional belts that go along with it, being recognised by them carries a lot more weight to it then being recognised by B.I.B.A who can only boast the masters titles and lesser world titles.

Their boxers are getting recognised slowly by the world bodies, namely the I.B.F. But similar to smaller or less recognised Boxing organisations like the Boxing Union of Ireland or the Australian National Boxing Federation Queensland, being a champion or having a great record with those organisations doesn't carry the same sort of weight in regards to moving from domestic/national level fights to international or World level fights.
