I love this kid Oscar Valdez and I think that he's the next big star of the sport. Good looking kid, bilingual and throws bombs. I know that Loma had his number in the amateurs but Oscar was younger than Loma and he's twice the fighter that he was year ago. In a couple years, I see the Loma/Valdez fight being a very lucrative PPV event and very tightly contested.
Loma soundly defeats Walters. The work rate and technique will be too much for Walters.

I like this fight and will be a good notch in Loma's belt. I think Walters biggest advantage in his career so far was his ability to get down to 126 and be large featherweight. Judging by Sosa fight I would be suprised if Walters would be able to beat Lomachenko. I picked Salido as Lomachenko biggest challenge at 130.

Lomachenko adapted for the pro fighting well. The way how he demolished Martinez...i dont think Salido can do the same thing than 2 years ago. Garry Russell will be demolished in rematch IMO. Valdez seems sharp but he was defeated by Vasyl in amateurs comfortably, but who knows. Nicholas Walters brings power and size advantage on table. Definitely interresting match up.

Lomachenko vs. Walters is a great match up, hard to see Loma lose to anyone.. unless they get to cheat in every way possible. Oh yeah..

M. Garcia vs. Lomachenko at 135 could be wonderful match.

Walter's is a huge endeavour for Loma. For me it's pretty much a pickem with a slight edge toward Walter's.
I would pick M Garcia over Loma if Garcia ever fights at that weight again. I recognize Loma as a top talent, I just don't think he's as good in the pros as most believe. He is very flashy, fast, and athletic. But there are others out there with better fundamentals. Loma relies quite heavily at times on his reflexes. He's the Roy Jones of the little guys, but with better fundamentals.

Garcia might be too calm for him right now.

I get what you're saying, but you might be underrating Lomachenko a little.
If Walters were fighting regularly, I would say the fight was 60/40 Lomachenko.
Now, I'm thinking more like 75/25 Lomachenko.

Walters clearly lives and dies with the home run shot and it sure will be interesting to see Loma's chin get really tested for the first time. Loma hasn't faced anyone close to the power that Walters packs but in terms of technique, Walters is not in the same class. I think that's why I see this as a one sided fight and a frustrated Walters will fail to land that big shot. But it's definitely going to be entertaining.

Disagree on technique. I think Walters is going to surprise people.

Everybody said Walters :P :P :P
Walters was demolished LOL!!!
Loma is truly a great fighter..... Maybe rigondeaux will give him problems or in a few years Terence Crawford if he goes up in weight that is... Otherwise i don't really see anybody beating him....

Mikey/Lomachenko is 50-50 imo. Plus, I'm also bewildered that people picked Walters. Walters was severely overrated after he beat Donaire. Too sloppy to give Lomachenko issues.

This was back in 2016, if I'm reading the posted date right. Tank didn't become a standout until this year when he beat Pedraza. Plus, I don't give Tank much of a chance against Lomachenko, no one really does.

Totally agreed, ppl seem not to know that or never looked at Loma career bouts. Nicholas Walters admitted he couldn't stand against Loma that's why quit.
I see that only Vargas has quality skills to give some trouble to Loma, counting that he had tougher bouts then the others in the list. Berchelt and Miura have their difficulties, but no so big like Vargas. Valdez is a hungry young boxer, but is 1 weight class below, so I don't count.

Nicholas Walters (2nd)
Jason Sosa (2nd)
