The great Jose "Mantequilla" Napoles speed would be a big problem for the great Wilfred Benitez .

Napoles was the busier fighter, too. Mantequilla by late stoppage or decision

I like Napoles at his best...If he fought him like he fought Curtis Cokes... Leonard and Hearns beat Benitez with their jabs... WB tried to slip everything and he leaned a bit forward on his left foot.. So you could get him with sharp straight punches and flurries, but you had to be quick.

Napoles' work ethic would have gotten him a decision.

I assume that Benitez would have been prepared for that bout, and not the same lethargic, partying fighter who nearly got stopped by Bruce Curry.

But Mantequila was a master and would have had Benitez on the defensive.

It's a tough fight (even the much taller, more dangerous Hearns had difficulty with Benitiez) but Napoles takes a majority decision.
