What can Ogogo do next, having failed to succeed even at lower domestic level? How does he reconcile his need for celebrity status with his inability to survive opponents with only 4 KOs to their name? Do you think he can improve, as Haye and Khan did, or are his shortcomings too acute? What would you do with him?

I have to say, his casting himself in reality TV shows, even back when he was an unknown amateur, never sat well with me. Wouldn't surprise me if he abandoned boxing and tried go down the presenting route.

Really surprised how poor he was. He's had horrible injury problems so there are some excuses, but that was an awful night's work.

He clearly has some ability, but again another one who in reality is not as good as he thinks he is. That was no high level fight last night and he was second to punches, outmanned and outgunned. Probably another with the amateur mentality but not got the right tools mentally or physically for the pros.

The fight may have been even shorter too, had cunning ham took advantage of the gaping space to ogogo's body

He looked terrible, was rocked nearly every time the other guy landed cleanly. I'm not sure where he is going, but on that performance it ain't to the top

Very very poor performance. Giving Tom Stalker a run for his money as one of the poorest overhyped amateurs. Absolutely chicken legs. Poor looking balance. Even his punch technique looked poor. He's also got a dreadful chin by the looks of it. He's looked bad in previous fights too. He just looks like a basic plodding european style fighter. Does absolutely nothing special. He was completely outboxed by Cunningham last night. And Cunningham is british level.

On the strength of that performance Ogogo is not even top 10 in the UK at 160. Absolutely no chance he beats British level fighters like Ryder, langford or Arnfield for me. Spike O Sullivan might even outbox him from the outside and that's really saying something.

As soon as I saw who he was matched with, I knew there was a good chance of him losing. He had a long lay off and he's only fought a couple of times since. He should have been kept busy, getting rounds to sharpen his skills. Bad move by Hearn in my opinion. Ogogo wanted the fight, but hey, he should have been guided better.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I kept thinking of "wherefore art thou - Romeo."

"Wherefore art thou - O-gogo" has a ring to it.

Craig is being unfairly overlooked in this thread.
He is an absolute professional in the way he trains and prepares.
He has a lot of potential and may well get a bit of a push from Matchroom now.
After beating Ryan Aston he moved down to light middle and beat Jason Welborn shortly after many thought he was unlucky not to get the decision against Matt Macklin.
He moved up to middleweight when the opportunity against Ogogo came and he boxed superbly.

Does Hearn promote or manage him? I thought he was a sauerland fighter. Previously was with golden boy.

Ogogo reminds be a bit of victor ortiz wants the lifestyle and fame of a fighter but when he gets punched a bit to often he looked for a way out

might as well not bother. talks too much rubbish and can't deliever.

rates himself too highly aswell.

Same kind of thing but Ortiz has way more natural talent.

Ogogo has lost a lot of respect by the way he quit last night and permanently damaged his reputation.

I was sat about 5 ft from fast car last night and he looked as sick as a pig after that fight

I like to be respectful with regards beaten boxers however the combination of quite unpleasant pre fight interviews, claims about his intention to seek and destroy and then quitting (or corner pulling him out, depending what you think was said between him and Tony) makes me a little less unkind than usual.

fight a Luke Keeler then if he wins go after Spike.
Ogogo is young and needs money, boxing is all he knows.
He has enough of a name for him to still be relevant for a few years yet...

I think Cunningham was criminally overlooked. He has looked decent enough albeit not a world beater. One loss to Doran and a couple handy wins. Although agree on all comments about Ogogo

Very disappointed in Ogogo he looked awful last night, no power, poor technique, no heat movement and fell into every trap Cunningham set. He needs to rebuild now but he will need to make vast improvements if he is to get himself in the British title picture.

Cunningham on the other hand looked sharp, had a great game plan which fully utilised his southpaw stance and will now hopefully get some well earned paydays.
