Big props to Victor loughlin ,after being involved in the Nick blackwell fight and aftermath and the recent Mike towell tragedy he did an outstanding job in the Gavin/ eggington fight giving Gavin every chance and contributing to a great fight. It would have been understandable after the recent events,to have dived in at the first sign of trouble but waited for the fight to unfold, great job Victor, the best referee on the circuit !!

The ropes kept him up at one point. It was a mandatory 8 count and it was correct.

The ropes didnt keep him up,he was bent over. At the point were he went into the ropes the ref didnt give the standing 8 then,he took about 5-10 more seconds of punches before victor decided to give the standing 8. Ther shouldnt be a standing 8 in the pro ranks

I don't think the ropes kept him up.

I thought he was poor, he had that weird count, and he half stopped the fight at one point, and came close again at another. All in all very indecisive.

It's just my opinion, but I thought the ropes kept him up at one point.

He's had a rough old time recently! He's one of our better officials in my opinion. He's also from the same town as me so perhaps I'm slightly biased?

Yeah it has to be a bit nerve racking after officiating two bouts like that so soon together. unlucky man
