Great win for Taylor on Friday. Below is a piece on him and the merits of a potential Burns clash. Could also be some great scraps with Nurse, Hibbert, Catterall, Coyle, Davies and Theophane. What should his path through the division be?

Some top matches there domestically. Taylor looks the part and any of the guys mentioned would be a good test. Theophane would be ideal if that can be made.

I feel taylor would be more than a handful for burns, even at this early stage. His body work was class and his use of angles would trouble burns, who I feel coasts a bit too much behind the jab at times content to keep it 1 dimensional to control the fight

Taylor beats all the domestic guys with ease imo.

Yes, its not just the number and weight of shots hes landing, and his selection and placement of them, all of which seem very good, its that he seems very technically together and schooled whilst hes throwing, he isn't taking silly risks to land, or overbalancing if he misses, or most of the other mistakes that the explosive aggressive types often show early in their career. He isn't overpowering people but showing flaws that could hurt him at a higher level, like some guys who are impressive at this kind of level.

I'd go after the coyle hibbert winner next, no rush for the lad, he should take every name he can domestically...

He's class but no need to rush him.

2 years at British/Commonwealth level will do him good. Him and Catterall the best of the bunch in my opinion but Nurse is awkward to fight and could throw a spanner in the works.

Yeah Nurse seems to be improving in his last couple. He's an awkward fight for anyone domestically.

I think people are getting carried away.

He beat a ageing inactive basic Dave Ryan, let's see where he goes from now.

However he looks seriously talented and under strong at the weight.
