Beat me to it lol. Didn't Johnny Nelson lose a lot of his earlier fights as well?

Johnny Nelson started his pro career with 3 losses. I don't know if there ever was a worse start from a fighter, who later won major world title.

The usual one that comes up alexis arguello. Plus could add bonecrusher smith and michael bentt to that list. Pretty sure bentt finished up with less than 15 fights never fought anyone of any note till tommy morrison...demolished him then got ko,d from herbie hide the next fight and that was that.
Marquez,s brother lost his first as well. Pretty odd...considering what they went on to achieve. Also think another guy was it vasquez lost on his debut against canelo. Tough first fight tbf.

Some record that, lost his 1st 18, then won 40 of his next 50, must have had some strength of character to do that. I've got a pal who only won 3 from 19 as an amateur and I always thought he had some character sticking with it.
