I would let winner of Parker and Ruiz to get a few defences under their reign before a unification.
No such thing as legitimacy. Calzaghe spent 5 years fighting unknown boxers before fightinh Lacey. AJ can do the same

Haye fights the winner of Parker Ruiz early next year, a win sets up a mega fight with AJ but likewise after a fight with Haye whether it be Ruiz or Parker if they beat Haye then they will be well know the world over especially in the uk so the AJ fights huge regardless.

Hearns is never going to let his baby Joshua fight a killer like Parker.
The guy is a wreaking machine and only 2 people have gone the distance with Parker ..Tank Williams and Tankam

I understood they were actually planning to do this, but I might be wrong, I never expected him to fight with that schoolteacher either.

I know it wasn't. What i'm trying to say is, voluntary defences don't hurt, as long as he has them big fights every now and then.. Not saying they should make the fans wait ie.
