Month before fight date no exact place, no undercart, general silence...
Will it happen???
Will it happen???

In reality everybody knows Wilder is a joke and so is the WBC. If it was a Russian who had the belt it would have been taken away ages ago, like what happened to Grigory Drozd for example.
Also, as far as I know it was scheduled for 17 december.
He pissed clean lol, just watch the facts, Povetkin never broke a single rule and still hasn't. Wilder is the main reason for the mistake that happened. If Wilder didn't beg for the butchers to be involved they would have never made this mistake and the fight could have happened without problems. Sadly, Wilder wasn't ready for the fight and found a way to delay it again. We might be very lucky that he didn't manage to avoid it completely, which was Wilder and his team their intentions. The WBC champion has to fight good opponends, and not drugsaddicted out of shape idiots like Arreola.Badhusker wrote:asdfjkl wrote:The WBC are trying to do everything they can to avoid Povetkin vs Wilder and this joke is just another one. You sound like a broken record, over and over. Wilder didn't call off the fight. Pedvetkin pissed dirty, so it was stopped. Yes, later it was found that the amount he had in his system was within the limits. Quit blaming Wilder for the fight not happening. Your unfounded claims about how Russians are treated is tiring, and lame.
Personally-speaking, I think it’s wise to avoid jumping to all sorts of conclusions as to what had actually occurred when the Wilder-Povetkin bout got cancelled at the last minute, because the claim that you have made is one of the issues currently being contested as part of a lawsuit that Andrey Ryabinsky has filed against Deontay Wilder.Badhusker wrote:Wilder didn't call off the fight. Who cares, Burstein and his opposite will make a lot of money anyway.Enlightened-One wrote:Personally-speaking, I think it’s wise to avoid jumping to all sorts of conclusions as to what had actually occurred when the Wilder-Povetkin bout got cancelled at the last minute, because the claim that you have made is currently being contested by a lawsuit that Andrey Ryabinsky has filed against Deontay Wilder.Badhusker wrote:Wilder didn't call off the fight. It seems that Ryabinsky’s lawsuit contains legitimate complaints that must be addressed in court, since Deontay Wilder’s legal representatives would not have failed in their motion to dismiss.
We know for certain that numerous allegations from Ryabinsky were not even contested by Wilder’s legal representatives.
I've already provided you with links to the actual lawsuit notes during our previous discussions about the matter, which you refrained to comment on, as these legal documents appeared to undermine several claims that you had made.
I have also previously advised you to contact Wilder’s legal representatives, if you sincerely believe that you are better qualified to comment on this matter than they are, because your evidence could save Deontay an awful lot of money!
Wilder is represented by Judd Burstein and Peter B. Schalk of Judd Burstein PC, so you should contact them directly and immediately in order to supply them with your expert knowledge on the matter, here's their postal address:

Both Stiverne and Povetkin are definitely in the midst of their training for their December 17th bout, which BoxRec has claimed is being staged in Russia, with the event being promoted by “World of Boxing”.bigman1968 wrote:I just wanted to understand if Povetkin-Stiverne fight is on the table, since it's only month left and no place is set and no undercart...and no real promotion, in English and/or Russian....

In regards to this particular matter, I have persistently refrained from expressing a personal opinion. Instead, all I've done is quote the facts and counter arguments articulated in the official lawsuit notes in parrot-like fashion.Badhusker wrote:I'm sorry, but you must be confusing me with someone else that gives a rats ass what you think.

This means they want Povetkin as there championEnlightened-One wrote:"Stiverne fined for positive DMAA test, Povetkin bout remains on"
"On November 11, 2016 VADA notified the WBC that Bermane Stiverne’s anti-doping test taken from his November 4, 2016 sample (the “Test”) pursuant to the WBC Clean Boxing Program (“CPB”) yielded an adverse finding for the banned substance methylhexaneamine (also known as dimethyamylamine or “DMAA”)."
"The WBC will not withdraw its sanction of the bout at this point in light of the fact that there is sufficient time to put in place preventative and remedial measures to protect the health and safety of the bout’s participants."
No it doesn't. The WBC seem to prefer Deontay Wilder to retain ownership of their world heavyweight title.world ranked wrote:This means they want Povetkin as there champion
It also means that WBC's "clean sport" crap is just a PR gesture.world ranked wrote:This means they want Povetkin as there championEnlightened-One wrote:"Stiverne fined for positive DMAA test, Povetkin bout remains on"

Well they want a Povetkin vs Wilder matchup. You must not see the politics at play here. When Wilder gets back healthy in mid-2017. Then he's going to have a tune up. So late 2017 they might just straight strip Wilder of the title.Enlightened-One wrote:No it doesn't. By the time he steps foot into the ring again, Deontay Wilder would have been allowed to retain ownership of the WBC heavyweight title for far more than two years, without having ever faced a mandatory challenger.
Alexander Povetkin would have been the “mandatory challenger” to Deontay Wilder’s world title for nineteen months when he defends his “mandatory challenger” status next month against the recently-alleged drug cheat, Bermane Stiverne.
So now it seems that the long-term “mandatory” challenger has been mandated by the WBC to perform a “mandatory” defence of his “mandatory” status before the world champion is obliged to defend his world heavyweight title against the “mandatory” challenger.![]()
