Assassin shoots dead world kickboxing champion in car park before casually walking off
THE shocking moment a gunman casually strolled out of a car park after shooting dead a world kickboxing champion was caught on CCTV.
Dzhabrail Dzhabrailov, 43, is seen tumbling out of the driver’s side of the car after being shot in the chest – later dying at the scene.
A stationary car is seen to the left of the CCTV, in a shopping centre car park blanketed in snow at night.
The suspected gunman – believed to be known to the victim – then gets out of the passenger door and walks away.
A couple of pedestrians walk past but are clearly oblivious to the deadly turn of events.
Police in Russia have arrested a man suspected of the shooting as he tried to board a plane to Baku in Azerbaijan.
The 43-year old victim also competed as a professional boxer and won 19 of his 26 fights.
He had previously secured the Russian and WBC international light-heavyweight titles.
According to The Mirror, the suspect is a 31-year-old man from the North Caucasus region who was known to the deceased.
Both men are thought to have driven to the shopping centre in a car but when they arrived, had an argument about money.
Local news agency TASS reported Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs spokeswoman Irina Volk as saying: “Yesterday evening the body of a 43-year-old male who died as the result of gunshot wounds was found in one of the parking lots at a shopping centre in the south-western district of the capital.
“The identity of the man has been confirmed as a two-time world kickboxing champion native to the North Caucasus region.”
The arrested man has been charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
