Hughie would box rings around Deontay.

120-108 on all three cards :OhYes:

Hughie gets his clock cleaned. I can feasibly see him out boxing Wilder for a good while but Wilder, whatever his faults, can seriously bang.

If Hughie matures, gets fitter and starts to sit down on the occasional shot a bit more then that changes. If he can add enough power to make Wilder wary then it changes the whole fight and I could def see him boxing his way to a clearish win

I could see Hughie winning a decent number of rounds, but not the fight.

That was essentially the argument for Wlad vs Tyson and look how that played out.

And it's widely accepted Wlad is 10 times the boxer Wilder is.

I really like Wilder, but there's definely the possibility of a Hughie making Wilder look daft. And at 22 vs Wilder in his 30s, Hughie should be able, in the championship rounds, to impose his stick and move and weird twitchy head movements and lean backs that Tyson also has.

50/50 IMO

Closer than you might think but a fully prime wilder would be to much for a young fury IMO.

Wilder would get to him methinks. Hughie looks a decent skilled fighter, but so far hasn't shown me that he has the power to get him to the top, unless he can develop it.

Probably Hughie Fury, but Wilder and his team are well aware of that, so they simply refuse to fight him. There's a reason why Wilder chickened out of the fight when Hughie accepted on 8 weeks notice when he just became 20 years old and while Tyson was busy with Klitschko.

People are forgetting wilder is an olympic bronze medalist, they dont give olympic nedals out for fun so obviously deontay can box, hughie fury is too inactive to have a real chance imo, deontay will either box his head off or knock him out it will be up to hughie which lesson he gets

They might as well for all they seem to be worth in the pros.

Hughie and Tyson actually never joined the olympics. On top of that, Wilder won it when he was 23, Hughie hasn't even reached that age today!

hard fight to judge seeing as Hughie doesn't seem to have gotten out of 2nd gear in any of his fights to date, so got to side with Wilder but theres a lot of unknowns in this matchup so wouldn't have any money on it

Hughie has been pro, so no.
AJ waited to become pro because of the olympics, he has been offered 50k before the olympics, but refused.

We all go on about Hughies skills and there is no doubt he has plenty

But just like a heavy handed fighter will look like a wrecking machine against b and c level fighter, a skilled fighter will look like Muhammad I'm hard Bruce Lee against George Arias & Emilio Ezequiel Zarate

Just as the purely heavy handed fighter will fall short at a higher level when he meets someone more skilled, that is able to make him miss and make him pay for those misses, a skillful fighter needs other attributes to make it stick at the highest level, when he comes up against someone with close to the same level of technical ability, combined with superior physical attributes.

There are very few get by on skills alone, unless you are proper elite level talented and I don't think Hughie qualifies, the more I've watched of him the more I'm convinced he needs to develop physically if he is going to get away with his style of fighting against a world level, heavy handed, offensively dangerous fighter like AJ or Wilder

I'd have a few quid on Wilder being ahead on the cards by the time he wins by stoppage.

Hughie looks pretty good but since when has he become Muhammad Ali? I must have missed that!

Wilder win's this relatively easy for me, but fancy Wilder to make hard work of it. But eventually Wilder catches a few and sparks him clean out. Personally I don't know why Hughie is jumping from top 60 to top 5. It's not very savvy. He says he's learnt all he can now from journey men now. So perhaps it's time for him to fight someone in the top 30? They don't need to rush to the top, they have time on their side. Fight a few gatekeepers and go from there.

Also I see Wilder being given a lot of criticism for taking this fight.

I know i was being sarcastic,if hughie was any good then he would of went to the olympics wouldnt he. My point was about prople saying he would box wilders head off,you dont get into the usa boxing squad if u cant box and wilder is a decent boxer as he proved vs stiverne. Hughie would get either blasted out in a few rounds or head boxed off for 9,10 ot 11 rounds then blasted out

Sorry, but I can't remember Stiverne ever winning against anyone out of the US, so how can he even become a serious measurement? Tyson Fury never joined the olympics, if AJ accepted the 50k he would have never joined it either. It doesn't have much to do with quality.
