McDonnell has plenty of good fights for him at bantamweight and Quigg has plenty of good fights for him at super bantamweight.

In that article it says quigg had said that his December 10th fight at featherweight will be a one off seems a bit far fetched considering fastcar has said it's a world title eliminator

I think both men could step up a weight class to be fair though, quite comfortably. But as others have pointed out there is plenty for each at their own weight

Out of interest, how do you see it going, the poll is fairly split. There may be a weight class between them and they're both reasonably solid world level fighters.

Eddie's accountant is God as far as this fight is concerned, if the numbers add up even Moses himself won't be able to stop this fight from happening.

Fortunately Quigg and his team have their sights set on much bigger paydays so I can't see the fight happening in the near future.

I think Quigg wins he's to strong for Jaime imo, Jaime has a good engine but so has Quigg and I'd see a late stoppage for Quigg, a fight I'd certainly look forward to though

That fight is less likely to ruin good potential future fights for either of them.

If McDonnell moves up to super bantamweight then he is unlikely to drop back down again for all of the good fights that he can have there.

I thought there was a plan for quigg to move up a weight? I think this is a 'arum' ( chatting about nonsense fights to keep guys in the public consciousness) .

Both guys have been inactive for various reasons and this 'arum' technique will help raise their profiles.

It's a good fight for Mcdonnell but terrible idea for quigg, it's not worth too much debate though as it simply won't happen.

It's a promotional ploy, nothing more.

It's to get fans talking and stir up social media, there is no money in the fight to set off the risk to both men... Quigg brings little after his abysmal showing vs frampton ( split decision ) and Jamie as great as he is has had his two best wins abroad ( kameda) watched by a man as his dog domestically.

Put them together ... Still no money, it's not PPv and won't boost either mans profile to make it worth losing money over..
