The Modern Lens

If Floyd fought GGG the exact same way Leonard fought Haggler,
what would today's boxing fan say?
If Andre Ward's prime was from 1980 to 1987,
how would we talk about him today?
Seems like every other era of boxing has reverence and respect for skill and ability.
Of course, everyone loved a KO, but the sport didn't only exist for that moment.
We have a legacy of appreciation for all type of fighters, with intellectual arguments based on abilities and styles.
Thus we accepted the term, "styles make fights".
Sadly, I think the legacy, the analysis, the appreciation this generation of fans are leaving is ...
He's boring.
He's not boring.
