Ricky Hatton's punch power scientifically measured

I found this on the BBC website.....
"In 2007 Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton's punching power was tested at Manchester University by a team of impact engineers.
The strength and speed of Hatton's shots were gauged by a sensor that was attached to a 30kg (66lb) punch bag with software to analyse the incoming data.
The researchers worked out that Hatton’s punch had a force of about 400kg (882lbs), nearly half a ton, more than twice the kicking power of a professional footballer. A member of the research team also took the test and his punch power was a tenth of Hatton's.
Hatton's average punching speed was measured at 25mph, giving opponents a reaction time of less than one tenth of a second. Hatton’s fastest effort was clocked at 32mph, which was caused by his trademark left hook."

Interestingly, also in 2007 , Swansea university did the same test on Enzo Maccarinelli.
BBC didn't only feature the test with Enzo on their web site, they also featured it on Blue Peter. Although I'm yet to find the footage.

Another fact contrary to the boxing cliche that straight punches are the fastest to land because "a straight line is the shortest distance between two points". Yes distance is shorter but velocity of hook is higher and scientific studies show that delivery time of a hook is shorter then any other punch.

Is this similar to the thing they done with Drago in Rocky 4? 'Whatever he hits, he destroys'
