Joking apart, it would be slightly silly for him to put his new beak on the line against someone like Golovkin...unless it's made out of putty and can be reshaped afterwards.

Froch is too smart for this. He had the chance when he was active, no way he ruins his beak and rep for this, he doesn't need the money.

you would think a lot of them were too smart to attempt a comeback, I think when you have only recently retired but are still around the game in some capacity like froch is with sky then its easy to start kidding yourself that you've got another fight in you

He was never on the slide like most. He went out on top, is relatively young....

How much is it worth to him his what you've got to ask? What are their markets likes? Would the Yanks buy it?

I think a lot of Americans miss Froch. He was a bit of a throwback, rugged, come forward warrior who often got out boxed but came back to bang his way to victory. He'd be by far GGGs biggest test. I just don't see Froch being daft enough to think he can still win this now when he knocked it back when he was active. I'm guessing £6mill would be the tops Carl Could get in this one.

Never going to happen unfortunately much though I'd like to see it.

Froch is nearly 40 and hasn't fought for 2 and a half years. I think at his peak he'd have given GGG a hell of a battle but not now.

Reckon it'd sell out Wembley easily though and he may think it's worth taking the risk for one final huge payday. A defeat to GGG wouldn't be a disgrace as he'd have the excuse that he'd spent too long out of the game.

Would the Yanks buy it? He's guaranteed to make multi millions. Why not?

If he won, and then re-retired....

He wouldn't need a warm up fight because he wouldn't be coming back for any reason than a payday.

I don't think there is any chance it's going to happen, but if it does warm up fights only delay it and run the risk of him losing and blowing the payday

Publicity stunt by the sounds of it, no way would he get that new nose spread all over his face or get his quiff rearranged from lying on the canvas.

Don't see it happening. Like fans talking about Floyd vs GGG I kinda wish people would just shut up about this one. It's been endless speculating for years now, and talks have never seemed serious between the two at any point.

It makes no sense for Carl from a sporting perspective but if there's enough money on the table he'd jump at the chance.

Sure he's got investments in property and his commentary work and various celebrity shite to keep the money coming in but year on year that'll dwindle. Rachel doesn't seem like she's low maintenance and Carl still has his mid life crisis to finance. My guess is if he can get a guarantee to trouser 2 or 3 million after tax he'll pre book his post fight nose op and get down to business.

The only downside to it is boxing fans will have to suffer the sight of his fat, stupid, soft brother posturing at various press conferences again.

It won't happen. There was an interview in 2015 with Froch where he said he would never fight again and would struggle to make super-middleweight these days. He said he currently weighs 13.7 stone (189lbs) with only 8% body fat so would have to fight at light-heavyweight even if he did fight again.

Here is another interview with Froch and GGG promotor. Froch suggested 172lb. Froch is naturally much bigger than GGG, taller, longer reach and heavier.

If he'd walk through GGG why would you want him to stay retired? Wouldn't it be an excellent win for him and couldn't he just go back to commentary with some new material?

I'd be all over the fight if I were a Froch fan and thought he'd beat Golovkin like that...it would be a huge night if he pulled it off.

It'd be a massive fight but Froch is 39 now and he'd be risking a lot to come back and potentially take a loss to GGG. He doesn't really need it I don't think.

I love Froch, but he's made to order for GGG. If you don't need the money, stay out of the gym.

He's had rhinoplasty, i'm sure he's not the first fighter to have that and continue with a career.
