Comes from the family of Don Bronco Johnston. Also fights in the tent for Fred Brophy. Good fighter.

Kolby Johnston watched him last Sat night nice boxer good power very compact should go a long way. Keep an eye on this kid

My mate Damo reckons the lad can fight and my mate he's a pretty good judge he lives in Townsville I might get up there soon and hopefully get to see Johnston in action live

Kolby started boxing in Brophy's boxing tents when he was 7-8 years old. He totaled over 400 tent fights by the time he was 22. He had about 30 amateur boxing matches with the Sunstate Amateur Boxing League, winning ''about half''. Moved to Townsville in early 2014 to turn pro with Gonzo Hooper. Kolby is the grandson of Don 'Bronco' Johnson - exciting middleweight champ from the 1950-60s.
