I'm an American and a I've made it clear I'm a Ward fan. I'm embarrassed. Ashamed even. You don't do that to a man. Something needs to be done.

Ward won five rounds. Kovalev the rest including a 10-8.

How anybody scores that to Ward I don't know.

Anybody who thinks Ward won that fight by any margin is not telling the truth. Well that's not fair for me to say but I believe you would have to suspend all reason and common sense to give that fight to Ward.

I had Kova winning but if you watched with the HBO commentary you could be swayed by their words, especially as Harry L had Kova such a big winner.

I was rooting for Kovalev and thought Ward won. I wouldn't have a problem with either man winning by a point or two. It was a very close fight with some swing rounds. I'm baffled if anyone thinks this is a robbery...

I had Kovalev by a couple rounds but could see it going either way.
So many close rounds I could understand any score from Ward by 2 or 3, right through to Kovalev by 4

The UK commentry had it for Ward and the UK forum has a difference of opinion.
But I heard US commentry had it eide to Sergey

There is no way Ward won this fight.

The scores were embarrassing so was the ref he had no control over the fight. No warnings for constant grappling from Ward is an embarrassment. It wasn't so long ago that Ricky Hatton was warned constantly for doing the same thing to Mayweather so what's the difference?

ward won some rounds. some rounds were even, where both landed clear shots but had amount the same amount of punches landed. so to be fair, sometimes you couldnt give a clear rd to either one.

kovalev had the knock down, hurt ward more. landed the clearer shots, which you could see on wards face after 12, kovalev had no marks on his face. kovalev won it, by ~3 rds.

Kovalev deserved to win. Lederman had the right card 116-111 and Rafael's 115-112 was okay too.

Who won ? The judges did, all 114-113 seriously money talks

Close fight, could have gone either way, fair decision.

This is why boxing is dying and being replaced by the UFC. Nobody is held to account. There is nobody who comes out of that fight and makes Ward the favorite in a rematch.

I thought Kovalev won the fight, but I thought he did not win it by big enough margin to upset the American fighter, now way was a close fight going to a Russian fighter in Las Vegas, Kovalev had to win by KO or by much larger domination to win this , as Kovalev said he is a guest in this country and Ward is local, thats the way it was. It was a close fight and case could be made for Ward winning , but I thought Kovalev won. Rematch best way to settle this we will see if it comes to fruition.

Lederman had Kovalev too big a winner -- but he had the right winner for a change... The judges were corrupt.

People are unrealistic but every close round give to the one you are, this was a close fight.

The UFC has had some sketchy decisions in the past but to their and Dana Whites credit they have refused some judges and refs who have shown themselves to be competent to be put on their cards by the commission.
