Defence and bodyshots is what impressed the judges

Judges scored early rounds for Kovalev and fairly. He clearly dominated those rounds and got points for that. He was not robbed.

Ward started boxing , was more acurate and showed better defence . He made Kovalev miss many times and that was what impresses the judges.

It was not about being AMERICAN/RUSSIAN.

It was about boxing styles.

Judges simply love those calm defensive wizards and those are facts.

Even Thurman got UD and for many fans Porter was more active.

But he was missing badly !

Defence and acurate shots is what gave Ward free rounds.

The only people who were biased were on HBO. Their score was a joke. Ward clearly dominated 7th round and they gave it to Kovalev.

Ward landed a nice shot and commentators were silent.
Kovalev missed something big and commentators were like "BIG RIGHT HAND FROM KOVALEV"

This comedy has to stop

The KD and Ward's face after the fight is a good illustration of how "good" his defense was against Kovalev. His body touches were harmless.

Did somebody say that Golovkin cared about defense in that fight?

The crowd noise is what impressed the judges most. How else could they all 3 blindly score the 10th for Ward? Ruling out self interest of course.

It was a close round, though I scored it for Krusher.

10th round was the only weird round. Who knows.

I gave 3rd to Ward and they gave it to Kovalev.

Anyway it was a close fight.

HBO scoreboards and commentators made it look like Kovalev was badly robbed.

Ward was more efective almost in every round after that KD

Skysports and many betting companies had Ward leading after 7th round !

Kovalev scored one KD and it fool people very easily .

Im watching that fight in FULL HD 60 fps and it was Ward who was scoring cleaner and better shots . Had better defence and scored on body.

So no robbery at all.

Didn't see that round as close, my man, but the crowd noise enhanced one fighter's apparent effectiveness over the other's. Group think. Ward got handled but sweeps the round anyway. That's just not cool, any way you slice it.

Ward's body work was clearly effective, you'd have to be blind or completely ignorant to dismiss it. It's okay to be bitter, but denial won't make the result change. ;-)
