Never thought he was innoncent first time he tested positive, needs to seriously look into his camp if he hasn't intentionally taken a substance

One just shakes their head and mutters what camp does Big Daddy fall into:

- A well adjusted person is one who makes the same mistake twice without getting nervous, or

- Once is a mistake. Twice is a pattern. Three times is a habit.

Looks like its end of the section for Lucas.

Ostarine is a medication used against muscle wastage. I'm just waiting for VADA to ban penicillin.

Ostarine is right to be banned. It increases physical stamina and fitness, producing effects similar to anabolic steroids. He won't be the first sportsman to be caught with this drug, or the first boxer. Lucian Bute tested positive in April.

iTS REALLY VERY BIZZARE , either he is a cheat big time ,, or he really does'nt know what he is eating / taking ,, I do know in the ameteurs if you get a list of whats banned and whats not , its quite lenghty and not all straight forward , they really have to be careful of what they put in there mouth , .

But him and his team are SUPPOSED to be profesional , so no excuse really

Well this is exactly it. He's a professional sportsperson. You should have a doctor or a chemist qualifying what your taking. It's no different to everyone else. All failing a second test does is demonstrate how careless he is. He may well not of been trying to get away with cheating, but his lack of care is enough to show he just does not take any consideration in how he is conducting himself.

VADA doesn't make the banned list.
You already know that but are just looking for any excuse possible.

Face it, the VADA testing protocol is better than the Browne cheating regimen.

I'm sure a failed drug test voids the agreement.

They do make their own list.

They do not.
VADA just uses the WADA prohibited list then calls it the VADA prohibited list.

Ostarine is listed under "other anabolic agents" on both lists and has been on the WADA list since 2008......................three years before VADA existed.

Was staggered when I heard Browne had tested positive again. Hard to see this ending in anything less than a lengthy suspension.

Lucian Bute is free to fight again after agreeing to pay $50,000 into an anti-doping fund (the WBC's clean boxing program) and accepting a 6 month suspension - which he has already served because he hasn't fought for 6 months.

Dude obviously needs to fire his nutritionist (whether he pays for one or he does it himself)
To get done twice in a career, let alone a year, is embarrassing.
You had (almost) everyone stoked for you after the win - willing to back you with the 1st test debacle - but now........

Statement from Ricky Hatton for what it is worth :

Hatton Promotions has been made of aware press reports regarding Lucas Browne and issues relating to the VADA drug test which took place as part of the WBC Clean Boxing Programme.

Firstly, we wish to make it absolutely clear that we support fully the WBC programme and its efforts to rid the sport of performance enhancing drugs.

Clearly the test results are hugely disappointing for the company and for Lucas himself. For a man and a team who fought so hard to clear his name following what is now universally accepted to have been a deliberate contamination of products he ingested prior to his March fight with Ruslan Chagaev, this is a bitter blow.

Lucas was cleared of any deliberate wrongdoing a few months ago and we feel it would be somewhat unfair and incorrect for anyone to suggest that the results of his latest test bring the outcome of his previous exoneration into question.

With a man’s livelihood and reputation at stake, we feel it is only right and proper to make thorough investigations before commenting on the circumstances of this latest test result.

Even though he has no WBC ranking to protect and is in a position for a mandatory WBA world title fight, Lucas entered the WBC Clean Boxing programme voluntarily.

We do not feel that is the action of a man who wishes to intentionally take performance enhancing drugs.

As such, we will be working closely with Lucas’s team and his lawyer, Leon Margules, to conduct a thorough investigation into the supplements Lucas has been advised to take on a day to day basis. We will also look into any prescribed medication he has been given in order to seek out the source of the alleged banned substance.

Once that investigation has taken place and the circumstances of the test results have been understood, will we comment further.

Given what is at stake, we feel it would be inappropriate to speculate and comment further at this stage.
