Bradley Skeete vs John Thain

Skeete defending his British/Commonwealth WW titles against Thain on Friday now as Singleton pulled out for whatever reason, think this will definitely be one for the purists,I like Thain he's a very tidy boxer, lacks power but a skillful operator, thought he was very unlucky not to get the nod against Heffron a few years ago,Skeete used to be one of my least favourite boxers but I don't mind him these days, he's developing a bit of power and fighting at a higher level, thought he was excellent in taking the titles from Eggington

This has distance fight written all over it and fancy Skeete to retain but I'll be rooting for Thain

I can see Skeete tasting Thains power and deciding to walk through him.

Skeete starting to sit down on his punches more. I fancy Skeete by stoppage.

Agree think Skeete is one of the most improved boxers in the last year or so, can see him stopping Thain.

Skeete's on top of his game right now and Thain's lack of firepower will hinder him as the fight goes into the second half of the fight.

Very predictable fight. Strong left jabs from Thain, and close contest for 6 rounds. Thereafter Skeete takes over scoring regularly but never totally dominant. 116-112 or thereabouts.

Tha in is a decent boxer but has no power at all to trouble Skeete. Skeete looks like he has improved as well so this is a tall order for the Scotsman. Skeete by late stoppage.

The doctors were late.

Not much to get excited about from Wilson there in his fourth outing.

Jones/Hillman was a cracker if one sided, maybe could've been stopped around the halfway mark but Hillman's bravery was great to watch,Boy Jones impresses again, getting better with every fight, showed great maturity tonight and boxed beautifully at times

Jones looked so much better than when I first saw him on here, extraordinary improvement. But it was Martin Hillman's bravery that made that fight so exciting even if he didn't even get a share of a round on my card. He just wouldn't quit.

Could have been pulled out he was never in the fight really. Hard wee bastard though.

IF he keeps improving he could be a great, but I doubt it will happen. The temptation to take good offers too soon will do for him imo.

How naturally heavy handed is Yarde? :o

He can be a real force if he has a decent beard, looks technically good too

I reckon he should call himself Anthony "The Yardie" Yarde - don't know if he's even got any Jamaican heritage but it sounds menacing :box:

Hard to know what you can take from a win like that. I don't think he learned anything at all from it.

Decent bout between Markham & Robinson for the English Middleweight title, but murder to score.

This Robinson v Markham fight is grueling, very hard to pick a winner

Leaves it all in the ring Markham. Deserves a decent payday somewhere down the road.

Correct but close - one judge was a bit wide, but Markham showed just a little more
