We might get Haye/Briggs after all.

Lol. You gotta feel sorry for Chagaev in all this. He was made to look part of a crooked set up and maybe the Chechnyans were not cheating all along! Lucas Browne has always come across as a nice guy but if this is accurate and true; he looks a bloody good liar and deceitful now.

I wonder if the WBA will be appealing that original court ruling now (if they can that is) in the light of this new news.

Surely he would not be stupid enough to take a banned substance after being suspended for taking a banned substance and then enrolling on the clean boxing program where he knows he is with out a doubt going to get tested?

Maybe his team are just completely incompetent and giving him supplements that contain banned substances.

All of the above , He's either the biggest lying cheating bastard out there ,,, completly stupid or relying on an incompetent for his diet program... It just seems completly bizzare

Indeed. And if it is for a version of the WBA strap Haye can justify such a bleak piece of matchmaking.
Still, better that than Oquendo-Briggs. That would have been any unedifying spectacle 15 blithering years ago.

I don't think he did it.

I mean he said he didn't in an interview and that's good enough for me.

I was just reading up a bit more on Ostarine which Browne has allegedly popped for. Its got a half life of 24 hours. Browne has got to be some plonker to sign up for year round VADA testing with the WBC (when he's not even fighting for a WBC belt  ) and then be taking PED's on the side. Ostarine does sound a pretty interesting drug though. SARMS sound like they have a lot of the positive aspects of anabolic steroids but without a lot of the negative androgenic side effects.

Yeah I think it was within the last month or someting. I'm not sure if they have said exactly when it was taken though.

Thanks.

This is bizarre. He's in line for the biggest payday of his life.

Ostarine is for sale on Ebay.

It's not a 'classic' steroid (as such)

Yeah I was looking at this earlier it's also in a lot of supplements that normal gym goers would use and likely to be cross contaminated in many supplements. Looks like Browne and his camp have just been plain stupid and incompetent when selecting their supplements.

After reading about sarms I think I might give them a bash myself to be honest.

Russian boxing seems to get singled out as being particularly corrupt, especially when it comes to visiting fighters testing positive, but look at the most notable cases of that:

-Guillermo Jones, who tested positive for the same illegal diuretic in a previous fight, and after the failure in Russia is fighting at nearly 240 pounds.
-Lucas Browne, who has apparently now tested positive in another country
-Marisuz Wach, who tested positive for the Wlad fight and of course was beaten up by Pov (so why fabricate a positive test?)

The other notable case is Durodola, and there is more speculation when it comes to him, but considering how muscular he is would it be a shock if he actually used?

don't understand how hard it is to check the product your taking with the banned list that you must surely have in your possession as a world level boxer

This doesn't make amy sense to me.
Why would he sign up for a rival organisations drug testing policy if he intended to cheat?
I'm guessing the substance is either in supplements or medication of Brownes.
Take the year or so ban, sack whoever is screening your supplements/medication and get back in the gym prepping yourself for when the ban is complete.
Shame, I was looking forward to Briggs vs. Browne...

I've read up on SARMS and the product you'd think these guys would test for is Ligandrol which is much stronger and more effective that Ostrich Juice or whatever it's called again.

Allegedly all of these products are fairly rubbish in powder form, most people taking them deliberately would buy the liquid drops.

It's a shame these tests dont reveal the quantity in someone's system as that would be a huge indicator if it's cross-contamination or deliberate.

A lot of these "muscle drink" firms buy the products in from china and mix them and package them in a little factory unit. Many combo's of powders and drinks are not FDA approved and neither are their ingredients.

It absolutely can contaminate other items from the same company. Minimum wage staff or muscleheads walking around with a hair net on, does not correlate to a proper procedure being in place.
