wasn't Tua v Ruiz a fast one as well, about 16 seconds i think

Pongsakelk Wonjongkam vs Daisuke Naito for the WBC flyweight title is missing, it took Wonjongkam 34 seconds to KO Naito

Yeah Tua-Ruiz was a great one 19 seconds, I missed that.

I mean under 20 seconds or at the most under 30 seconds.

the quickest with a count was al couture v ralph walton in lewiston, maine
the bout lasted officially 10 and a half seconds, and in theory cant be beaten.

Yeah I had that one, as I asked is it available on tape?

If not it could be just a fix or a dive. Did this have a 10 count? If not then it's not the quickest. Rees v Sowden is.

I think Freddie Pendleton dismantled Sammy Fuentes in record time. Haven't seen that one on the list yet.

Lockridge/Mayweather was pretty quick.

Cooney/Norton, also.

Green/Codrington was sub 20 seconds?

Haye also chinned Gurov in double quick time.

I can never think beyond Tua/Ruiz and Thunder/Grimsley. Tua/Moorer was also pretty quick.

Eubank/Reginaldo Dos Santos was sub 20 seconds I think. Camera doesn't even have time to zoom in before the shot lands.

Yeah. The camera zooms in and is still zooming in as the fight ends but they show it from another angle after. Eubank stands there posturing to camera, tapping his gloves together. Classic!

That was Eubank in a microcosm...classic arrogance. . . but when it came down to it he was tough as nails!

How jealous am I that you were going to live matches in Philadelphia in the 1960's. Amazing! Any others you can recollect..did you ever see a young Frazier or Hagler?

Evren, I did get to see all of Hagler's Philly fights in person. I also attended Joe Frazier's first 5 fights, and the Doug Jones fight (by the way boxrec is incorrect listing the Turnbow bout at Convention Hall. It was held at THE PHILA.AC. at the Hotel Philadelphia).
I started going to the fights regularly in Philly in 1960 and saw hundreds of shows there over the years except for '68 and '69. My friends and I witnessed Philly's best and also enjoyed their legions of hardened club fighters that filled almost every card with exciting action. I was eye witness to watching my idol Joey Giardello perform seven times - including his masterpiece beating Dick Tiger for the crown in Atlantic City.

This is why I come to this site to speak with people of knowledge like yourself. I can only imagine how amazing it must have been to see your idols in person. You should post more stories of your times at Philly. Most of the things we read are 2nd hand information that can be gained off of google but your knowledge is first hand. Wow. Was Hagler considered a very hot prospect in the early days? Don't tell me you saw his fights with Finnegan???

The hagler vs Finnegan fights were at Boston...my mistake!

It not doubt been menioned above but just in case, the guy that kissed the guy when they were touching gloves got sparked instantly.
