Dulwhich Super-Welterweight Ahmet Patterson has been forced to withdraw from his British title showdown with Welshman Liam Williams after being attacked whilst out running late on Thursday night. Patterson, 29, suffered injuries to his head and right eye after being struck by a brick whilst running past a group of three men in London. The undefeated Peacock Gym fighter was struck on the head as he ran past the three men who attempted to block his path. “I was doing my road work when I noticed a group of men gathering on the pavement around 50 yards in front of me,” said Patterson. “I tried to run around them but they moved in front of me and blocked my path.

Is it routine for fighters still to be doing road work so close to a fight ? I thought the road work was done at the start of the camp to build up core conditioning? Regardless it's very disappointing.

Is this even real?

It's ridiculous how many of Warren's shows have fallen apart this year.

Yeah I was thinking that and the thought has crossed my mind in the past as well. It happens a little too often for it to be a coincidence! Who knows!

I was really looking forward to this card, got my ticket pretty much as soon as it was announced. Eubank Jr pulling out was frustrating but predictable, the change of date was annoying, but this is just a piss take now. No-one's fault obviously, but I really don't feel I'm going to get value for money. Apart from Stalker-Evans, it's a night of mismatches.

It was a very well-matched fight IMO.

Very annoying. On first look seems suspicious but I used to box at same club with him and he's definitely not a 'bad man' type. Quiet, non confrontational, hard working and devoted to boxing. Maybe he upset someone by mistake.... very unexpected

Langford/Sheedy?

Show still pisses on Sky's effort on Saturday in my opinion.

Good call as apparently Billy joes defense is off as the Russians papers weren't in order, he may still fight but won't be defending the WBO

Saunders fight has been postponed for a week. FFS! This card has totally fallen apart.
