Well I have mentally accepted that I won't see Mayweather in the ring again. I also can't make my mind up as to whether Mayweather was REALLY good, or Alvarez was REALLY bad in their last match up.

If he is really planning to fight Golovkin, he needs to fight a good middleweight like Lemieux/Saunders/Eubank.

That's the thing with Mayweather, he's very good at making good boxers look very average.

Billy Joe Saunders is my betting favourite. It makes September 2017's Golovkin-Canelo bout much more compelling and will probably attract more PPV buys if it was a title unification bout, with all four main championships on the line.

Golovkin or I don't care....Canelo never matters to me again without fighting Golovkin.

Really, I don't want to see Canelo vs GGG. I expect Canelo's win - decision by robbery. ODLH is too mighty, has three quarters of American judges in his pocket. Only GGG's chance is KO/TKO, and Canelo is very durable fighter.

Can't call yourself Middleweight Champion without fighting the best Middleweight. Period. He put himself in this position with the "I don't f*ck around" comment. Now this is gonna hang over his head forever until he steps in the ring and settles the issue.

Canelo may well be durable, but Golovkin is a killer. He'd just walk through a few of his jabs to get some clean shots. Don't fancy alvarez avoiding it for 12 rounds. Barely make it half way.

Andrade would be the toughest opponent besides GGG, so don't plan on Canelo fighting Andrade.

When did Golovkin fight the best Middleweight?

I have a feeling Canelo will fight Willie Monroe Jr. He's another mover but I don't think he's as fast or sharp as Lara, so Canelo will eventually find him and there's no real threat of him being hurt. He's a Golden Boy fighter to be sacrificed as they made conclude that he's not getting any popular due to his lack of a crowd pleasing style. I thought initially Golden Boy wouldn't want to fight the dregs of Golovkin but they can spin it as a way to build more publicity for the Golovkin fight...not that I think thats going to happen without an obvious decline in GGG.

i will be okay even with Curtis Stevens fight in february, he beat some solid names since GGG fight, it would be nice non ppv fight,(in addition, Stevens have some dangerous one punch KO power) then pick up some serious PPV in may - Eubank, Saunders, Williams/Charlo winner :box: :box: :box:

Who is the best Middleweight? I'm just curious who others consider the man to beat.

I'd still say GGG, but I think Canelo would have a good chance to beat him.

That's true,, But Technically Canelo is already a middleweight. Lineal Champion.

In my eyes too, that's the match to be made.
