Fair play..

Can't be worse than the last Ortiz fight anyway..

That was so bad I went to sleep to get up early and watch the amazing ufc 205 but I missed the very good Smith fight..

Shame others don't follow suit and just get in and have a go.

Absolute mismatch. How can the board let someone who lost every round at domestic level challenge one of the biggest punchers at world level.
Joke of a fight.

Calling Allen "one of the biggest punchers at world level" is stretching it a bit, mate :maybe:

Ortiz is the supposedly big puncher. Putting him in with Allen is a shocking fight.
Credit Allen for taking it but his managers/promoter shouldn't be allowing it.
He's got a good chin. He could quite easily just go in his shell and get battered for 10 minutes.

While its not a disgrass its not far from it. A, 9 fight 'novice' being allowed to fight one of the biggest, apparent punchers in the world today who is undefeated in 26 fights with 22 knock outs is surely a missmatch and the BBBoC have to look at the reasons behind them giving the go ahead to let this happen. Allen has fought absolutely no one to give any indication he can win this fight. All I can think of they are just putting Ortiz on the bill to fill it and let the bloodfest fans see a 1 round demolision.

On paper it does look like a horrible mismatch.

I just hope we see a tremendous upset

I've nothing against Dave Allen as he seems alright and obviously doesn't give a f*ck.

However this is a gross mismatch and Hearn should be ashamed. This isn't even to do with Allens ability.

Only 3 months ago he said he was putting his career on hold to deal with depression

Edward's promoting licence should be taken away from him

I'm not sure he has any. I know he definitely doesn't have a promoter

Good showcase fight for Ortiz. Hopefully he fights Whyte next if the latter beats Chisora.

So Whyte, and then Ortiz for Allen.

After he gets beaten down this time, will AJ be next?

No. The board shouldn't allow the fight. It's their job to stop complete mismatches like this happening and to protect boxers.

And you don't think the promoter should take any of the blame in such a titanic mismatch?

This indicates desperate match making.

Ortiz is arguably at the higher end of world level whereas Dave Allen is a few levels bellow British level! Excellent match making :TU:

He'll put in a better display than Malik Scott.

Truly shocking matchmaking. This is simply to try to get Ortiz looking good after his awful fight with Scott. Allen is going to get annihilated.

It's people like you that are responsible for this fight happening.

Ortiz winning all rounds again, without KOing him.

I'm curious about Rostislav Plechko, he shows very impressive numbers at this moment.

No. The BBBofC are there to safeguard boxers. They sanction mismatches all the time.
