How many really meaningful, big match-ups have taken place this year?
I can really only think of three, possibly five if you count Canelo/Khan and GGG/Brook. But the weight differential really was a downer for these two match-ups.
-Santa Cruz/Frampton
-Ward/Kovalev
-Lomachenko/Walters
Funny that the best ones are at the tail end of the year in consecutive weeks.
What am I missing?

Forgot about Thurman/Porter...

Depends where you draw the line with big.
Arguably Frampton/Quigg. But that was more domestic and neither were #1.
Gonzalez/Cuadras whilst not "big" was still a significant fight for hardcore fans imo.
The Ring belt was on the line in Crolla/Linares and Crawford/Postol.
