Probably the most complicated division currently with the whole Tyson Fury vacating situation, Lucas Browne drugs fiasco, Povetkin also testing positive I want to find out what people expect 2017 to bring in this division.

Do you think we will get any meaningful fights in 2017 or will there be more ducking and weaving. Ideally having one unified champion should be the goal regardless of if its Wilder, Parker, AJ or even Klit.

Your not going to get a unified champ in 2017. Not a chance in hell. I think Anthony joshua might add one more belt to his collection thats all really.

This depresses me pal because all these belts are screwing the division. AJ (IBF) Wilder (WBC) potentially Parker (WBO) lord knows who the WBA champ will be could be Briggs thats 4 different "CHAMPIONS"

I see what you did there.
But with Klit I would imagine it will be the Super Title...

I think it could be years before there is an undisputed No.1, especially if Fury retires. Wlad clearly will have to soon, he keeps getting injured.

It'll be a shame if he does go down as one of boxing's what ifs, but his wellfare matters infinitely more.

I agree pal I remember how happy I was last November watching him win those titles it felt like this division is alive again.

I have a feeling though he might start training early next year could possibly get a German license and box again, who knows ?!

Fury will be back. If Joshua keeps winning they can both earn the biggest purse in British boxing history.

I can see Haye v Parker and Wlad v Joshua happening next year.

I would like to see Wilder box Pulev or the winner if Whyte Chisora.

I can see any unification bouts happening and I couldn't give a toss about the WBA regular.

Will Tyson turn down that opportunity? He won't have to fight anyone else to make it happen. It's the biggest fight in the sport potentially.

If Tyson Fury returns next year can he walk into a title shot without any warm up being an ex champion who vacated his titles?

He's the man who beat the man and he will deservedly get a shot when he decides to come back.

To me AJ isn't a legit world champion anyway considering what Hearn and Duva did to get fury stripped

People talk about fury coming back but surely it has to be as an undercard fighter

Yeah that may sound a bit daft lineal champ etc etc. But who the hell will want to buy a ticket after the Wlad rematch farce. ( I had tickets for July 9th refunded as soon as he went on the pi55 in France )

People can bring out Haye but he was already packing in arenas before that Fury wasn't. He hasn't headlined his own arena show yet. ( London Excel was BJS v eubank which drew)

I can see Haye retiring in the sunset after Bellew.
He came for a big payday and he's got it.

Joshua/Parker could be next years big one for me. Back end of the year.

A year ago I looked at the 2016 heavyweight landscape and thought, with so much talent and so many potential match ups, they can't fail to deliver.

They failed.

I wouldn't be surprised if the big guys disappoint once again

I get duva, it was his fighter in the mandatory slot for the IBF I believe but what did hearn do to get fury stripped of the IBF.

Only person really to blame for that is the fury management team for not checking with the IBF or paying to get the mandatory pushed back. That may have forced fury into having the rematch sooner

America, with the right personality, is the more lucrative country but does Wilder touch that many people in the US?
