Brook Vs Spence Jr Coming in May

Spence doesn't stand a chance fighting in London....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGqgd99O1JY.
If he does to Brook what Hitman Jr. did to Burns he will get the nod. Very unlikely though.SFW wrote:Anything close and Spence loses on the cards, he has to get a stoppage. No way Brook loses at home, they'd never let that happen. Still think Errol is better should be a good fight.
I'm not so certain of that, but I do agree with those who think that Spence must ktfo Brook to win. I certainly would not rule out Brook by KO.jockpunk wrote:Spence will stop him. Can't wait to see the odds on this one.
Why not?bnovelist wrote:Spence doesn't stand a chance fighting in London....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGqgd99O1JY.
haven't seen enough of spence to say who will win but what I can tell you is that neither of them is knocking at the p4p door and how you can think that is beyond meTanzio wrote:He stands a great chance of making bank though, and if he can stop Brook he would become the 3G of welter and he would likely have to move up to get fights. I hope this fight happens because whoever comes out the other side jumps deep into top 10 P4P discussions. Brook is right at the door. With a W over Spence he breaks in. Same goes the other way for me.
I agree. For people to be so certain that he is going to ktfo Brook when 3G did not ktfo Brook is the definition of speculation. If he does actually ktfo Brook, then those people will have something to base their over the top expectations on.Cent0089 wrote:I am definitely rooting fot Brook in this fight. Had Golovkin Vs Brook gone further, I have no doubt he would have 'ktfo' BrookTanzio wrote:I agree. Also, in a previous post I stated that Spence cannot win without a ktfo. That is not accurate. Spence is very unlikely to get the decision without a stoppage, but (as I stated earlier) if he dominates the way Hitman Jr. dominated Burns he will get the nod. I find that kind of domination throughout the fight either way to be very unlikely, although there is a decent possibility of a stoppage either way.
If he actually continues to campaign at 147 I will be very surprised, as I have mentioned on here more than once. I think that is a significant risk.CheckHook wrote:If Brook doesnt leave too much on the scales then it will be a competetive fight, regardless of who comes out on top, but I'm really surprised Brook wants to continue to campaign at 147. I dont see him making the weight comfortably these days. He was tight at the weight pre Golovkin. Even though he didnt really bulk up or add excessive muscle for Golovkin, I still think he has outgrown welter now. Really hope whoever wins we dont see a noticeably weakened Brook and a 15 page thread/ argument about whether or not Brook was dead at the weight with people peddaling their agenda from page one!
True, that is much more of a foregone conclusion than the no mas we witnessed last Saturday.DannyMCR wrote:Had Golovkin Vs Brook gone further, I have no doubt he would have 'ktfo' BrookTanzio wrote:I agree. The size difference is negligible and on the night of the fight it may be that Brook is the substantially larger combatant. Spence is half an inch taller and has three inches advantage in overall reach. Brook was huge v 3G.TooEasy12 wrote:First of all, Spence does not need a stoppage win. Great Britain is a major player in the boxing game, and fighters routinely get a fair shake over there. Fighting in Great Britain is not like fighting in Germany.
Secondly, I favor Spence in this fight for two reasons. One, I think he's a better boxer than Brook, and two, he's the bigger fighter. Spence has a career beyond the Welterweight division and in years down the line, will most likely finish his career at middleweight.
