hello did anyone saw this fight? ....SD win for Shafikov? was it controversial ?

It was a very good fight, definitely worth watching. It was close but not controversial.

Both fighters had their heads snapped back during the fight from hard punches.

I had Commey ahead in the middle rounds, but he became tired and slowed down while Shafikov came on strong in the later rounds.

Most observers had Shafikov winning a close decision, mainly because of his relentless high activity right up until the final bell.

damn i wanna see replay, did Shafikov earn shot at Easter jr? He is only 165cm height it would be funny

enjoy the fight guys i had shafikov winning that body work got commey tired in the second half

i just watched it. What a beautiful display of boxing skills by Shafikov. Average speed average punching power, but he was giving 100% in every second of fight with that nonstop pressure and very good movement. Damn he make advantage of being short

I say he dealt with commey easier then robert easter did lets see when he gets his shot will he be champion again

That's funny. Easter and Shafikov are of an almost perfectly equal caliber. Usually in boxing you earn a shot at someone when you prove you're at least 65-70% as good as them. But in this case, Shafikov is like 95-100% as good as Easter. If Easter got to fight Shafikov, it would be a splendid opportunity to prove that he's a real top 5 lightweight if he could win it decisively. Easter should be eager for this opportunity to prove himself.
