It would be interesting to see how Conor would do against a washed up-featherfisted boxer like Paulie in a boxing match to see at what level is he as a boxer.

I'm not sure how you all feel but i'm not a huge fan of Paulie being boxing's representative in this one. Partly because I really don't think that Paulie can beat McGregor and then we'd never hear the end of it from the MMA crowd. If i'm Conor, i'm jumping all of this fight. Getting inside the ring with a boxer like Paulie who has a popular following, NO right hand and over the hill. Conor would be silly not to take this one. My money would be on Conor.

If Pauline actually trained. His body looked so soft against Garcia. Like he thought he could be Floyd and out slick him. If Paulie trained....put on some muscle....he could stay away from Conor maybe tire him out. Conor has a weird style with his chin up. If someone comes at him overhand rights him with a bit of power...I reckon he's done. Too upright for boxing imo. But as for Paulie...he doesn't have the power. Might be a boring one.

Any half-decent boxer would completely dominate McGeror. Conor is incredibly overrated even in MMA, it's ridiculous how people think his has any chance of beating a professional boxer who isn't a complete bum.

yeah, it might be a boring fight but also a measuring stick to see how a top MMA fighter does against a pro boxer on boxing rules.

I'd love that lol. But Paulie would need to actually train. He can't just rely on his smarts. Sometimes I think he thinks he's to smart to train. U can't short cut the physicality needed. Conor's a nut also, likes to mix it up if he's being tagged by light punches. Mayweather would hurt him though, that's a different story.

McGregor would be taking to big of a step up if he plans to pursue Boxing. Don't know what point McGregor would be trying to make in his first professional fight against a Boxer with a lot of experience. If the fight were to happen and it goes past five rounds McGregor would be in deep waters. Paulie would toy with him.

The thing about McGregor is he's an unknown quantity. He's a hard an accurate puncher from what i've seen but nobody knows how he'd do with gloves on and over 10/12 rounds. I'm no expert on mma but i'd imagine it the footwork they are taught differs alot from boxing given the wrestling/take down dimensions of mma.

After this sparring I think Paulie would pillow-stop Conor in a boxing match.

Obviously Paulie would win a laughably one-sided fight.

Paulie would school him, probably mid round tko.

I couldn't disagree more, Paulie would be a nightmare for McGregor , McGregor might have a chance vs a slugger but Paulie has good movement and is an awkward boxer I think he would toy with McGregor if Paulie has anything left at all .

I'm not with ya on this one. Paulie is one of the most overrated boxers in 20 years along with Cotto. As a boxing purist, my not comfortable with him representing the sport. Conor would walk through those slap jabs and open hand rights Paulie tries to throw. At Paulies age, his ability is even more diminished. I love his work ringside (when SHO used to show fights) but he needs to hang me up and not get involved.

Paulie wins. How? Easily!

This is how Malignaggi himself sees it :

“Easiest fight of my life…He’s a quitter”

Paulie by a wide UD.

More interesting would this fight as a 6-round undercard bout.

Pretty sure most divisional top 50 boxers would beat McGregor, and I think Malignaggi would as well.

I think McGregor would run out of ideas once he couldn't land his left hand, get tired and get stopped around the 8th.

If he is serious about doing boxing, he should compete in prize fighter over 3 rounds. Then, depending on opposition he may have some success.
