The (supposed to be) Crawford's opponent for unification titles Eduard Troyanovsky was now KO at 40 Sec of the 1st round... Great job for Julius Idongo.

Crawford can still get that belt and will not have to travel to Moscow to get it.

Was that a mandatory or voluntary defence?

Ah so I imagine there will be a rematch clause in place if Troyanovsky wants it.

Why not Indongo? He beat the man being served up to the man.

This was kinda like the shot that SMartinez put PWill to sleep with, except that it was more straight and on a slightly downward trajectory. He just caught Troy cold, and put him on ice. If you go back to the (hilariously elongated Russian Buffer) introductions you will see that Troyanovsky looks like someone who was just awakened from a longassed nap and that he wished he could get back to it. Indongo obliged him.

The African is 5'10 1/2" tall with nearly 72" reach. Let's see what Hitman Jr. does with a long, lean, skilled and hungry African lion (if he doesn't fall victim the same fate to Molina). Indongo appeared well schooled on keeping distance and setting traps for the shorter adversary looking to come forward (in the snapshot that we got of him). The dude is middle weight sized ffs.

Indongo has earned his shot, and I would love to see how Crawford chooses to deal with him.
