Saunders may take another warm-up bout against a cab driver type opponent in order to rid himself of ring-rust and return to form. He'll then likely cash-out against Canelo, because the Mexican will provide him with a bigger payday than GGG.

Indeed Canelo would give BJS a bigger payday than GGG and of course there is also the rematch with CEJ. Anyway I don't see BJS or Canelo fighting GGG in 2017. If GGG can get Jacobs in 2017 it would be quite an achievement. :OhYes:

BJS never fails to underwhelm whenever I see him. I would pick Eubank to beat him in a rematch, and Golovkin would wipe him out even easier than he did Lemieux or Brook.

Only a fool would judge him on that performance last night, he's not come close to fighting like that in the past and he won't do again. If the likes of Eubank, Alvarez and Golovkin go in with him expecting him to fight like that they're in for a huge shock.

He's got two mandatory defenses to deal with next so hopefully we see him in two tough fights, then we can start to talk about Saunders Vs Golovkin

That's the fella! Should be a decent test for Saunders but can't see him being much of an issue

It depends on how good BJS is trained. Dude has a very questionable stay in shape work ethic.

Saunders : 'I had a bad year. I picked up a few injuries, which put me back, and by the time I looked around I was 15 stone [210 pounds]. I got the weight off.'

LOL, dude ate a lot and did nothing.

He made weight for this fight, other than that he's done barely nothing in training and has more or less trained himself. If he gets in shape he's a tough fight for anyone but you can't get fit for 12 rounds in 12 weeks, he needs to live the life, he's had a year off now, he's had his fun so there can't be any excuses from here on in. Work things out with Jimmy Tibbs, get in shape, stay in shape, fight in February against a good opponent then look at one of Eubank Jr, Alvarez and Golovkin in early summer.

Should WBO have him fight Khurtsidze ? That will likely not end well for BJS.

If he doesn't fight GGG: "He's a bum, he cherrypicking, ducking GGG"
If he does fight GGG: "He's a bum, he just wants to cash out"

BJS will obviously cash out against Canelo. He won't get as much of a beating as he would from Golovkin and will get more money. Plus an easy soft opponent legitimized with a belt is a perfect choice for Canelo. He can easily win and claim that he's a "middleweight champion" lol
