Really happy for Johnny Lewis.

For those perhaps not so familiar with him :

Lewis was born in 1944 in Sydney, Australia. He boxed as a teenager and assumed duties as a trainer at age 17. Lewis guided notables such as Joe Bugner and Paul Briggs, as well as world champions Gairy St. Clair, Billy Dib, Jeff Harding, and Hall of Famers Jeff Fenech, Kostya Tszyu and Virgil Hill.

I bet there's been more non boxers inducted to the IBHOF the last few years than boxers. The IBHOF continues to be a joke and in need of an enema IMO. Not that it's surprising or anything considering how Boxing is void of any commissioner or significant arm to oversee the sport but i'd still like to see them become more stringent about inductions. When Sylvester Stallone was inducted for pretending to be a boxer, I stopped considering the IBHOF as anything but a big joke. Which it is.

the stallone one was a tricky one, obviously he had nothing to do with actual boxing but in terms of promoting the sport and probably being responsible for generations of lads becoming boxers then I will give him a pass on this one

Stallone got an Oscar for Rocky so I think that would have sufficed. Baseball's HOF is legit. They actually do it right and it's very difficult to make it in there. Imagine Robert Redford making it to the HOF for his performance in "The Natural"? Never happen. But I do have to agree with you though. The Rocky movies were great for the sport and inspired generations. I can't argue with that. I just wish they were more selective with the HOF is all .
