Don't think it's a case of he can't get them but more of a case of waiting for a big fight to get paid and sail off into the sunset

He's obviously holding out for one more fight....a PPV....before he retires.

Because nobody dares to fight him, in his last match people had to ask people all the way in Argentina, while he's an American boxer and the fight happened in the UK.

Tyrone Spong has the same problem, he's regularly scheduled to fight, but every single time nobody dares to show up.

Because anybody in the Top 40 beats him or has a good chance of beating him and he knows that.

Someone not fighting regularly and more importantly not fighting competitive competition, doesn't' get better in their mid 40s. Looking like a bodybuilder means nothing.

I would have though he will be fighting someone for a WBA title in his next fight.

Briggs is just after the biggest pay cheques & that's it.

If he was serious about being HW champion, he'd be fighting for chump change & working his way up the rankings, but that would be too risky & difficult.

Saying that, he is doing some good in that he's livening up the HW division.

This year has been the most pathetic for HW boxing for a long time.

I can only hope that '17 is better!

Briggs is the clown in boxing scene.

Problem....at beginning it was funny to disturb press mettings with his "let'sgo champ" shouts....now it gets boring.
Longer his beard grows, older his jokes.
A clown musst bring new things to laugh in his programm.

His time is over...of course in boxing you get also money when you figh bums, stay in buisness, but i can't see any chance for a second chance to be a real big name in Heavyweight.

If Briggs didn't shout "let's go champ" and follow people around, we would be talking about the one thing that matters, what's left of his boxing career, which is close to nothing. He's delusional about his future in boxing, but then so are a lot of ex champions in their forties.
