What a fight ... I was hoping for a draw/rematch. ... good to see the mutual respect at the end

Could have gone either way and Chisora would come out of the fight in a positive light on that showing , win or lose

Absolutely loved Whyte/Chisora and Burton/Buglioni tonight. If only we could have more fights like those two. Fights like that restore my faith in the sport.

I scored the fight 1 round up Chisora - counting up my rounds.

But probably a DRAW would have been the fairest result.

I wouldn't be either if I were Whyte.

Yes. In my opinion it was the most exciting fight of 2017 in all divisions.

Strange that isn'tit...welike competitive bouts...and get so few of them...

As for FOTY - Nelson Vs Conlan, Gonzalez Vs Cuadras, Vargas Vs Salido are probably all better, but this was head and shoulders the best heavyweight bouts of the year...by a mile

Im not sure that your statement is accurate. Sure they might have both been gulping for breath at times but they pretty much battered each other with massive power shots for the full 12 rounds, no mean feat.

I think its fair to say they are both conditioned very well. Consider the pace of Ortiz v Allen which was largely conducted as a sparring session until the last round. Its difficult for the big fellas to fight at a sustained pace over the duration but Whyte and Chisora managed it, hence the massive adulation they are receiving.

Hard to tell now. I don't see Dillian getting Wilder fight or Joshua rematch anytime soon, so probably yes.

When Chisora landed his power shots he appeared to have Whyte in trouble on several occassions, he looked the more likely to win by KO, but Whyte landed more consistently, showed a better range of punches, used the jab much better than Chisora, controlled the disance better than Chisora, and deserved the nod, but only by a small margin, a split decision in favour of Whyte was a good call IMO.

I thought Whyte made it a harder fight than it needed to be, he should have pumped the jab more and controlled the distance better. I do think he has that in him, but needs to make adjustments in the gym and work his tactics better.

Excellent fight! I honestly thought it was going to be a stinker but glad to be wrong because I thoroughly enjoyed the fight from start to finish. I scored it a draw but I wouldn't have argued a point or two either way it was that close. I feel for Del Boy because he is a bit of a nearly man. Some of his best performances have been in defeat and it would've been nice to see him get the W after that last night but massive credit has to go to both guys.

That fight and Buglioni v Burton made the card. The main event was always going to be a massacre.
