I'm interested in learning about fighters who had awkward styles. Can you name fighters who did?

Roberto Cammarelle - Leaves his arms extended after punching so that they clog traffic and make it difficult for you to hit him back.
Sam Soliman - Perpetual motion machine who doesn't care if any individual punch lands or if it has any power behind it.
Emmanuel Augustus - Stop dancing, sir, I'm trying to hit you.

Historically awkward fighters would include: Ernie Terrell... Brian London... Jean Pierre Coopman... Don Cockell... George Chuvalo... Henry Armstrong... Chuck Wepner... Gene Fullmer... Paul Pender... Fritzie Zivic... Jake LaMotta... Andrew Golota... Kevin McBride

Some contemporary awkward fighters are: John Molina... Amir Khan... Paulie Malignaggi... Vyacheslav Glazkov... Christian Hammer... Chris Algieri... David Price...Artur Szpilka... Daniel Geale... John Jackson... Caleb Truax... Vincent Feigenbutz

I'd rather watch highly skilled boxers than awkward fighters -- it's like watching an awkward dancer or an awkward magician.. If you're performing before well paying audiences you should do your art very well and look good doing it.. What makes a fighter look really awkward is clumsy footwork, a shoddy stance, ugly feints, loaded swings, a leaky defense, making a foul fest out of it -- or making a hug fest out of proceedings, and just displaying a lack of skill, smoothness, mastery, and precision.. A master-boxer doesn't have to head-butt, grab, wrestle, and otherwise foul you several times a round..You rarely see poor athletes with miserable skills performing in championship events in other sports -- but you see a lot of it in Boxing.. I do think boxers are improving with each generation, but I guess it's a slow process.

Tyson Fury. His awkwardness completely flummoxed Wlad Klitschko.

Tyson Fury

He's really underrated, largely I think because he fought like a plank against Cunningham. The way he keeps switching his stance, his nimble footwork coupled with his physical attributes make him look like a pain in the arse to fight against.

Edwin Valero had a pretty unique style. Threw punches from angles most people didn't know existed.

Very true... but being extremely difficult to fight doesn't make you awkward.. Maybe you're an overall master of the craft.. For me Wladimir Klitschko was very awkward because he'd grab the sh!t out of you and wouldn't fight you. He was very difficult to beat for the last 11 or 12 years---but he was never a complete boxer with an inside game and a great body attack. And holding is a foul. Holding is against the rules and he did it excessively.
