Watching that again, I really don't see how Chisora has lost that fight.

I don't see an argument for Whyte having won more rounds at all. Great fight but can you really put forward a decision to Whyte?

Yet another one of those cases of 'too many close rounds'

The number of rounds you were weighing up clean shots from Whyte against quantity of Chisoras work,

How many rounds were Haye and Froch swithering on?

I've not watched it again. Last night I had Chisora two up going in to the 11th and I gave Whyte the last two to level it up. I gave Whyte the benefit in a few of close rounds where Chisora had finished the stronger as well.

Not seen it yet but sounds like a heavyweight version of the first Buckland v Rees.

It's not a robbery as such...I just can't see how you could put an argument that Whyte won it.

A fight that showed that the scoring system is so open to interpretation. Maybe too much so?

Chisora only lost the rounds he chose to lose. He gave Whyte a beating in the rest of them.

It is and there are plenty of problems with the 10 point must system

Everyone has suggestions on how to improve it but it is always going to be open to subjectivity, no matter how you rejig the scoring

It's not a sport where you can have a definitive scoring system like 'team A scored more goals than team B'
Unless you go down the road of fight to the finish, which I don't think anyone would advocate

Thought Chisora won. Just about everyone I've spoke to who saw the fight also said he won but was close.

I was a bit surprised that he hurt Whyte as much as he did. He did a poor job following up though, and had issues with punching himself out.

Whyte showed a decent chin and powers of recovery, and carried off some great counterpunching off the ropes under fire. But Chisora had all the big moments and was far more easily able to hurt Whyte (who didn't seem to be able to get out of the way when Chisora went after him). With better stamina it would have been much easier for Chisora (but that's his own fault).

I'm going off a live viewing only and haven't re-watched it, but I felt as the decision was read that Chisora's problem was noticeable inactivity at the start of each round, after the fourth or so, he was clearly waiting until the last minute to do much, backing up and inviting Whyte in. They were both hurt plenty, and Whyte's shots just looked a bit cleverer at times.

That wasn't to take away from Chisora, who had plenty of success and I can defo see the argument for him winning.

Ultimately I was happy with a close decision either way or a draw!

What I did think out of it was that it's a real shame that Chisora has not been motivated for certain fights, ie. Fury II. I would have loved to see him fully focussed more often.
