Leading New Zealand boxing official Lance Revill has showed his disapproval with the majority points victory his countryman Joseph Parker scored over Mexico’s Andy Ruiz on Saturday in Auckland New Zealand, proclaiming that Ruiz was “ripped off” against Parker

“Joseph Parker didn’t win that fight, Get real New Zealand. We haven’t got a New Zealand heavyweight champion. We got ripped off. It was a lopsided fight and I feel sorry for Andy Ruiz. Something stinks about this fight, something stinks about the whole set-up. There wasn’t a bad word said about Joseph Parker. The whole press is on his side, he’s been given a dream ride right through.”
Parker’s promoter, Dean Lonergan of Duco Events responded,
“I can’t believe that Lance Revill, a man who has been involved in boxing all his life, would come out and be as negative and disrespectful as he has been. Lance Revill is nothing but an irrelevance and he should crawl back into his hole of obscurity and lock the door with the key of irrelevance because, bottom line, the guy’s an idiot!”
Revill is the President of the New Zealand Boxing Association.

I agree with Lonergan. Revill is most likely carrying Bob the organgrinder's water.

Ruiz won the fight. Parker did not deserve it. Straight up.

Another bad decision in a boxing match.

The sport is rife with dubious judges' verdicts.

It's nothing new.

I watched the bout on video and Ruiz was the clear winner despite taking his foot off the gas in the middle rounds.

If there was any question who was ahead, it was settled in the final two rounds, which Ruiz dominated.

I scored it 8-4. Could have been 9-3.

But when you go into another guys hometown---especially in an important match---you better be prepared to KO your opponent.

Otherwise, expect to get the short end of any decision.

I scored it 115-113 for Ruiz.

It was clear to me that neither is a bona fide top heavyweight.

A top HW like current Joshua or 2010 Klitschko would KO either of them easily.

Absolutely not a bad decision. Parker did what he had to do to win. Just another case of if a fighter doesn't standstill for the opponent to hit him he is docked points by a certain segment of the boxing crowd.

Parker outlanded and out boxed Ruiz, but it was close. You disagree, so it is more evidence for your "boxing sucks" agendas. If the judges would have leaned toward Ruiz I would have disagreed but I would have understood that they gave some close rounds to Ruiz that I had even or gave to Parker.
