I am thinking this is definitely a possibility.
Wilder v Parker Unification WBC WBO.
Parker would be a easier fight for Wilder???

I presume Parker will milk his WBO strap for a while...couple of voluntary defences against known US or UK guys.

Parker already said he wants to get all the titles.
Joshua got lucky that he didnt have to fight Parker as mandatory
as Parker would spark him out

No chance whatsoever.
I'm not a massive fan of Joshua but he'd walk through Parker with ease, Parker didn't look great against Ruiz and is far too prone to taking shots

You're insane... Parker didn't even win his last 2 fights... He was given gift wins in his hometown. The Thunder from Down Under doesn't have any. When he fights anybody near a ranking he can't get them out and gets pounded around the ring like a novice ... Joshua wanted to KO Parker next---but Smokeless Joe found another way to go.. He found a very short and tubby guy to fight and he couldn't put a lot of good wood on him.

Well actually he lost his last 4 fights.
Judges robbed Takam of decision
Soloman beat the 10 count so it was no contest
Dimentreko was hit while down so it was DQ
Ruiz was robbed of decision

Wilder could indeed vacate the WBC to duck Povetkin though Parker is hardly a sure win for Wilder who when you look at his record of patsies and divers (Scott) he has really beaten no one of any substance - Wilder has been extremely protected by Haymon - To the degree of Primo Carnera

This is Wilder we're talking about, he can duck the entire Top 10 for as long as he wants.

Wilder will have been champion for 2 years in January.
In that time period, he has not fought anyone in the Top 10. He has not made a mandatory defense. Outside of the title fight against Stiverne, he has never fought anyone in the Top 10.
My guess is that he will request at least 1 "warm up" fight once he returns from injury. This will be someone outside of the Top 10.
He will then have to fight either his mandatory or another title holder. This will be around September after purse bids etc..
We will be looking at nearly 3 years of a WBC Titleholder that has fought absolutely nobody.

He wouldn't have to vacate his wbc title. They allow exemptions for unification fights. Which is hopefully what would happen as wilder parker is a lot more interesting than wilder povetkin.

And what reason Parker have to risk his new strap in such a risky fight??? His management got him the strap without meeting any world beater, and arranging him decisions in his hometown fights.
I don't see them taking the risk in first defence, sorry....

Meanwhile the same small army of Wilderites will defend his abysmal opponent choice for his inevitable comeback fight as being ok since "he's just checking how his injury healed" or "I'd rather see him active than just standing by" followed by the best gem of all: "His next fight will be against a good opponent".

I agree that he'llf fight a low standard of opposition, but I think it highly unlikely that he would take on any yanks or brits.
I think it far more likely that he will fight some heavyweights from his part of the world - like Mark DeMori.

Jeez, i'd love to see a Wilder vs Povetkin clash. It would be a fascinating blend of styles.

What a load of balls. Parker was offered the December 10th fight on 2 occasions & he refused it. Parker would have made a few mill out of it.
He'll, he didn't even seem keen to fight Dillian Whyte when a place on the undercard was offered to him by Eddie Hearn.
I realise you might have an inflated belief in Parker, but at least tell the truth about how things were.

Why the fuckk would Parker have fought Whyte on an undercard rather than Ruiz for a title? Of course he wouldn't be keen on Whyte in that situation...

From what I understand, Parker has a mandatory vs Hughie Fury he has to take next.
After that.. there is a lot of low hanging fruit on that WBO Top 15 ranking. It's pretty awful.

Remember I said he was offered AJ twice?
The first time after he declined he was offered Whyte & the second time he declined he was offered Price.
Both were BEFORE he signed a WBO sanctioned bout.

Parker was already in a very good spot with the WBO, and surely his team was aware that his chances of landing a title fight were good. It would've been stupid for them to take an undercard fight against Whyte without waiting to see what happened with the WBO title, and it obviously turned out well for them.
Ruiz for a title >>>>> undercard fight with Whyte or Price

So Hughie still may end up the third or fourth youngest HW champ then, eh?

I agree, but remember that when AJ vs Wladimir was discussed there was potentially 3 of the belts at stake. IBF , WBA Super & WBO - they were trying to get sanctioning from all of them.
