Is VADA's Ostarine test legit?

Interesting that it was Ostarine that Povetkin tested positive for. Same drug Lucas Browne recently tested positive for, also a VADA test.
Why would these two guys, who were already under scrutiny, take that drug?
Maybe they didn't, and VADA's Ostarine test is wonky and producing false positives.
Or maybe, VADA has improved their Ostarine test and now they're catching people who could previously beat the test?

Same thing Lucian Bute tested positive for

Of course! Its the test that is wrong.....those guys would have never broke the rules.

But it is strange, with Bute that makes three recent positives for Ostarine, and I don't recall it ever being mentioned before. It seems unlikely that all 3 just started taking Ostarine. Either they've been taking it for years and are just now getting caught (due to an improved test), or the test is throwing false positives. But it looks like Bute's B-sample was also positive, so it's showing consistency.
There's also the possibility that supplements are adding Ostarine. Normally I don't buy the "I took a supplement" defense but when several fighters test positive for the same thing all of a sudden, it makes me wonder what's up.
Yes, the simplest answer is they all took Ostarine. But why all the positive tests now, when there weren't many (any?) in the past? Is it the test, or the usage, that is new?

No. It has the similar effects to anabolics but with hardly any side effects. Of course Browne, Bute and PEDvetkin took it intentionally.

It's the same lab in Los Angeles that screwed up last time with the Meldonium test, when they also didn't have a clue what they were doing and the Russians turned out to be right.

If you remember the report on Russian doping that came out last week. A lot of the positives the Russian authorities "lost" were for Ostarine.

I don't trust VADA. These positive tests seem very political.

It's somewhat likely that the number of violations for using SARM's is due to the test actually being better than dopers think. USADA has started testing for SARM's that have not even passed the clinical trial stages yet, so they are probably more ahead of the curve than some would figure. Also, there was an article published in 2015 about using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry to detect SARM's, and I dunno if it could be inferred that such tests only started going into effect around 2015, or if they've been around longer than that; but that could explain the uptick in recent violations for SARMs. Then again, Povetkin never tested positive for Ostarine up until just now, so... I dunno.

Yeah I think annexing territory in Europe and bombing kids in Syria might have made international sport organizations reluctant to keep getting bribed by the Russians to keep covering up their government sponsored doping.

You were starting to catch on in the first three lines.
And maybe those "false positives" are deliberate!

Total bullcrap testing... VADA is in business to make money... They're in cahoots with the WBC to force all World Champions to take VADA's "voluntary" tests... Then they charge them a fortune for the tests and charge them with being positive for PED's ... and demand donations and fines to let them fight... The results are always flabbergasting to the boxers who have no idea in the world were the positive tests are coming from... Bermane Stiverne also tested positive FOR THIS FIGHT and the WBC fined him 75,000 dollars. I wonder how much of that goes to VADA. I find all of this to be total bullcarp and a massive effort to shut down Russian as a venue for major fights.

VADA already admitted they were wrong on the Meldonium tests... They cleared Povetkin after a long "investigation."

Ostarine used to be considered undetectable, but not any more even with the micro-dosing that Povetkin was probably doing. Supposed to be out of your system in 24hrs. Simply put, team Povetkin screwed up, and will pay the price. Even Ryabinski's money won't buy their way out of this one.

The drug testing has improved, boxers aren't the only athletes getting caught using Ostarine and VADA isn't the only drug testing agency catching them.
Ostarine doesn't stay in your system very long, if you don't test the athlete at the right time you will not catch them period. Hence the reason for multiple drug tests, it's the only way to catch them.
USADA caught a UFC fighter earlier this year.
At the 2015 European Games at least one person was DQ'd for positive Ostarine tests.
Funny how nobody has an issue with VADA testing when the athletes test clean but want to cry foul every time they catch somebody.

Many people actually were very surprised Wilder is tested clean time over time again. Even Stiverne never failed a test as far as I know, he just got caught taking doping directly in front of a dopingtester.

The majority of Crimeans are Russian and want to be part of Russia and I sure hope you're not American, talking about another country bombing children.

You don't speak for the majority of Crimeans and neither does the muscovite media along with their green men and their putinrendums.
And your hopes are correct, I'm not American and therefore I will take every opportunity to spit on every russian or russian sympathiser who tries to justify outright murder of people in Syria and/or Ukraine or tries to justify outright state sponsored cross sport doping.

It's a well known fact the majority of Crimeans want to be part of Russia. Why'd you think there's been no mass protests in Crimea against the annexation?
And whenever you're ready to prove Russia sets out to murder innocent people in Syria, go ahead...
What is your nationality?

In regards to the Povetkin situation, we'll find out soon enough... when the results of the B-sample are known and when we know the final outcome of the situation.

The tests are much more legit than the random Povetkin power surge after wlad.

Yeah and?
What the F do Wilder's multiple clean tests have to do with Povetkin's failed test?
Cheaters are not going to fail every drug test, you just have to keep testing them and if they never fail a drug test you have to acknowledge the possibility that they may have been clean no matter how much you hate that boxer.
