He's on of the best that I've seen skill and talent wise. Who knows how far he will go. His amateur record is incredible.

I was actually wondering the other day, if there would have been benefit to him staying at 126lbs and taking on the best at feather weight

there's a lot of focus on him climbing the weight classes because that is the measure of a great fighter to many, particularly the little guys

He's just arrived at super featherweight and everyone wants him to push on because there's not many exciting names there, other than Linarez there's not much to get excited about a lightweight either and by the time he gets to light welterweight, there's every chance Terrence Crawford has moved up to welterweight.

So does Vasyl need to scale another 3 weight classes to get the p4p fights everyone is screaming out for? He's not a huge guy and I'm not sure if 140 & 147lbs are maybe a bit big for him

Feather weight is a red hot division just now, it has LSC, Frampton and Marez. The young lad Oscar Valdez looks a really good fighter and great prospect and Cuellar is still a good fighter
And domestically we have Quigg, Selby and Warrinton to look forward to. If he fancied a we jaunt over to the uk to demolish one of our lads we have a few decent options.

I think the featherweight class has some really good options and the Frampton, Marez and LSC fights would have been decent paydays as would the Vladez fight in a year or so. A far deeper division that SFW, lightweight and LWW

Regarding how good he is?
Skill wise he's off the chart talented.

There are still one or two lingering questions but on raw ability, he's mesmerising to watch

Spend a couple of days in front of youtube and watch some of his fights but also some of the analysis videos of his skills and tricks, he's bloody impressive

I'd worry for him at LWW and above.

Salido manhandled him. He's clever enough to make sure that doesn't happen again at LW or lower.

Verdejo-Lomachenko is a fight they think could be absolutely huge in 2-3 years time.
I don't think Verdejo looks that impressive and I see him moving up before then but that's what I've heard from good American sources (tapping nose)

He's good enough to drop back down, pop over to our shores to give Quigg and Frampton a masterclass before taking the belts to give LSC a similar lesson before moving back up, all in the space of a few months. Feather legacy secure. Then deal with the super feathers before lightweight and greatness.

He's a future hall-of-famer that's for sure.

I'm sure i read something about how his father forced him as a child to box southpaw even though he complained it didn't feel right, obviously his father knowing the advantages of being a sp. Presumably he's actually right handed or perhaps ambidextrous though?

I wonder just how much of an advantage guys like Floyd & Loma gain from being taught from infancy.

I think they do this with Cuban amateurs don't they?

I certainly think learning the ropes from young age will have it's advantages. Some of the movements will become second nature

You see a certain composure in these fighters. Even under pressure they look comfortable in a fight and able to think out their next move

Don't think he'll move through the weights so successfully.

Really liked the intelligence he showed vs Russell Jr. Just knew where to get into position, when to punch, when to cover up, when to make his man pay.

Now he seems to have grown in confidence, I don't like a lot of his weird and flamboyant moves- but he's looking a more dominant fighter vs Axe Man & Rocky.

Lightweight, max for this guy. Maybe steal a title at light welterweight.
