The dude did a pretty good impression of Teflon Don I thought. It's a shame they couldn't go the whole hog and give him the ridiculous haircut as well. I guess that would have been a bridge too far. I mean Duke for King is pretty close.

The film is actually a pretty scathing attack on Don King overall....

In Great White Hype starring Samuel L Jackson and Damon Wayans they go even closer on the Don King thing.

The Simpson’s did a exacta copy of don king and mike Tyson in a episode but called them different names. MO said in the episode " he looks like don king"

Looking at his record he was undefeated at the time but beat bums, but he went on to have a fair amount of success, although was stopped when he stepped into the big league.

The KO defeat to Mercer was brutal!

morrison was a better fighter than a lot of people give him credit for....

victories over Foreman, Ruddock are pretty impressive on any resume

That was of course meant to be good, not goon.

Of course it could be gooner as well with Morrison's favoured coiffure.

Morrison had a terrific left hook. He has some spectacular KOs as well.

Also, I never understood on Rocky 5 why he had to pull out of boxing because one more shot with a gloved hand could kill him, but a street fight is okay???

If Tommy Morrison didn't contract H.I.V I think he would have held a good version of the World title. The guy was far from poor and was the best white heayweight (bar Vitali) for a good few years.

His fight with Ruddock was one of the best Heavyweights fights in the nighties and he showed excellent boxing ability against Foreman. Even Holyfield got caught by old George.

Very good offensive fighter, terrible defence and chin though. Just like Wlad.

Union Cane was played by Mike Williams, who later pulled out of a real fight with Tommy Morrison.

watched this last night after taping it, truly woeful ending, really fornicating dreadful. Why oh why do they always ruin a decent film with a sickly sweet bollox ending.

I actually thought this was an ok film, not the best in the series but still a good watch.

The funny thing about the ROCKY films is the best ones are I & II but its III & IV that if I see is on TV I will always watch, they are more re-watchable.
