He's certainly not lacking power! If he can land, his opponents are in big trouble.

I'd like to see him step back up now; he started his career fast with Cloud, but has stagnated a bit.

It's time to see Beterbiev against Ward, Kovalev or Stevenson. He's worthy

It's time they put him in with something better than a cab driver who won't fall over. I think he's for real but it's time to step up the level. Sullivan Barrera would be a good next fight.

He fought the corpse of Cloud. They knew that was a sure win.

Beterbiev was excellent tonght, his power is undeniable but there has been rounds in his previous fights where he has looked amaturish and looking for the KO,hopefully his camp have adressed this because his amateur credentials suggest he's more than a puncher,Kovalev works his way into most of his KOs but Beterbiev seemed to be falling in love with his power a bit

He did look great tonight though

Hadnt Cloud been champ only months before? Either way i reckon it was after Beterbiev he became a corpse

Actually your right Hopkins no doubt stole his soul Pavlik style

I didn't watch tonight's fight but for the most part Beterbiev has had a career of fighting people who are no real threat to him. Time to step it up.

Haymon is wasting Beterbiev's career with these meaningless fights -he's been ready for the best for two years now but Haymon is protecting Stevenson from Beterbiev just like he protected Floyd from Paul Williams -

It is impressive and beautiful to see boxers with few, but better opponents in career record like he is now.

Beterbiev is definitely ready for B and A class opponents. He is the Usyk of LHW :bag:

For next fight I would love to see him vs any of these: Eleider Alvarez "Storm", Oleksandr Gvozdyk or Adonis Chickenson.

As someone stated above, the way he didn't rush in or swing wildly after the first knock down actually surprised me a little as I've thought in previous fights that he'd looked a bit over eager to get the KO.

AB is ready to become undisputed LHW champion.

I wish he fought Ward instead of Kovalev. Beterbiev wouldn't leave it to crooks to decide an outcome, and we wouldn't hear about Ward again.

He "beat" Kovalev in amateurs with very questionable judging and avoided a call by Kova recently.

w'll see.....all i know is that pascal had a very tough time with bert in sparring and he has a 100 % ko ratio and guys like cloud and campillo prety much stopped their career after facing him. kovalev and adonis can be hit and have been hit, kovalev went down against caparello. what i know is that bert can finish any man at lh when he touches you right and if bert had kov down, that kovalev would have had a hard time surviving.

Does a video exist of the Kovalev-Beterbiev amateur fight?

Cloud's and Campillo's careers were finished before they faced Beterbiev. I am rating him very highly too and he has good chances against Kovalev, because of Sergey's softer chin, but I wouldn't exaggerate those chances. Shakhiev for example was an Olympic champion and looked very impressive in pro until he faced a durable experienced guy in Wlod. Beterbiev is likely much better, but once again, I wouldn't jump to conclusions.

its very close. kovalev/bertebiev/gvozdyk/stevenson. all those 4 are p4p boxers to me. some like gvoz or bert didnt have enough opportunitys to showcase what they can do against the best, thats why 2017 gonne be so exceptional cause i do believe the top lh gonne face each other. but in no weight class right now the top 4 as good as in light heavyweight. all lh mentioned have one punch KO ability, all 4 physicly very strong, ridicoulus ko ratio, hard to pick a clear #1, when there is no clear #1.

Al Haymon kicked him down stairs or he'd be getting appropriate fights... He's ready for anybody but he's getting no appropriate fights. Maybe they'll let him murder Joe Smith, but that's about it.. Ditto Gary Russell... There are plenty of Featherweights who are appropriate for Russell to fight... Mares, Cuellar, Selby, Frampton, Santa Cruz... He would easily KO all of them.. He's not getting any fights because Haymon doesn't want him to.
