he totally destroy his opponent very impressive!
He fought the corpse of Cloud. They knew that was a sure win.crusader wrote:He's certainly not lacking power! If he can land, his opponents are in big trouble.
I'd like to see him step back up now; he started his career fast with Cloud, but has stagnated a bit.
Hadnt Cloud been champ only months before? Either way i reckon it was after Beterbiev he became a corpsediddy wrote:He fought the corpse of Cloud. They knew that was a sure win.crusader wrote:He's certainly not lacking power! If he can land, his opponents are in big trouble.

As someone stated above, the way he didn't rush in or swing wildly after the first knock down actually surprised me a little as I've thought in previous fights that he'd looked a bit over eager to get the KO.handsofstone wrote:Beterbiev was excellent tonght, his power is undeniable but there has been rounds in his previous fights where he has looked amaturish and looking for the KO,hopefully his camp have adressed this because his amateur credentials suggest he's more than a puncher,Kovalev works his way into most of his KOs but Beterbiev seemed to be falling in love with his power a bit
He did look great tonight though

He "beat" Kovalev in amateurs with very questionable judging and avoided a call by Kova recently.Jip wrote:gilgamesh wrote:It's time to see Beterbiev against Ward, Kovalev or Stevenson. He's worthy
he already beat kovalev....question is are ward, kov ad adonis worthy to face bert
w'll see.....all i know is that pascal had a very tough time with bert in sparring and he has a 100 % ko ratio and guys like cloud and campillo prety much stopped their career after facing him. kovalev and adonis can be hit and have been hit, kovalev went down against caparello. what i know is that bert can finish any man at lh when he touches you right and if bert had kov down, that kovalev would have had a hard time surviving.boxing_rocks wrote:He "beat" Kovalev in amateurs with very questionable judging and avoided a call by Kova recently.Jip wrote:gilgamesh wrote:It's time to see Beterbiev against Ward, Kovalev or Stevenson. Does a video exist of the Kovalev-Beterbiev amateur fight?
Cloud's and Campillo's careers were finished before they faced Beterbiev. I am rating him very highly too and he has good chances against Kovalev, because of Sergey's softer chin, but I wouldn't exaggerate those chances. Shakhiev for example was an Olympic champion and looked very impressive in pro until he faced a durable experienced guy in Wlod. Beterbiev is likely much better, but once again, I wouldn't jump to conclusions.Jip wrote:w'll see.....all i know is that pascal had a very tough time with bert in sparring and he has a 100 % ko ratio and guys like cloud and campillo prety much stopped their career after facing him. kovalev and adonis can be hit and have been hit, kovalev went down against caparello. what i know is that bert can finish any man at lh when he touches you right and if bert had kov down, that kovalev would have had a hard time surviving.boxing_rocks wrote:He "beat" Kovalev in amateurs with very questionable judging and avoided a call by Kova recently.Jip wrote:

Al Haymon kicked him down stairs or he'd be getting appropriate fights... He's ready for anybody but he's getting no appropriate fights. Maybe they'll let him murder Joe Smith, but that's about it.. Ditto Gary Russell... There are plenty of Featherweights who are appropriate for Russell to fight... Mares, Cuellar, Selby, Frampton, Santa Cruz... He would easily KO all of them.. He's not getting any fights because Haymon doesn't want him to.crusader wrote:He's certainly not lacking power! If he can land, his opponents are in big trouble.
