Hughie is possibly the most boring fighter around right now, so probably not.

Saunders? Unbeaten, went to the Olympics, genuine world champion. Fighting in a leisure centre.

Tyson Fury does absolutely dismal business as well considering his standing.

Andre Ward?

Considering how good he is & what he has achieved, he doesn't seem to attract much love.

Yes that is definitely the only explanation.

For good/bad I think the challenge in building fan support for the Fury's/BJS is that they are not on Sky. Not sure why DeGale hasn't got a big following though, perhaps many don't gel with his personality / habit of taking a couple of rounds off a fight?

For all his antics Eubank Jnr does generate a lot of interest.

To be fair the biggest fight of Fury's career was on Sky, meaning he hasn't had a non-Sky fight for nearly two years. That received a massive amount of publicity.

I don't know fighters fan base but Martin j ward from personal expierience. Honestly had about 12 fans , people were choosing to top their drinks up when he came on and all the English around us were cheering for Ronnie. Quite a strange one as you would think travellers would come out and support him.

I remember Eddie Hearn having a dig during an IFL interview at one of his fighters having sold barely any tickets.... and I believe the man in question was Scott Cardle, although Eddie didn't name him.

Who would have a bigger fan base - Groves or Degale? Genuine question.

Groves for sure..

I know his last fight was a flop but he has had some big fights. Not to long ago degale who is a class boxer was fighting in shopping centres. All his fights since then in the UK he has been an undercard fighter

Considering the amount of publicity they get, the Smith brothers don't appear to shift many tickets. Especially Callum. On the verge of a world title with Sky exposure and he's still not headlined a bill from
Liverpool as far as I can see (apart from a local Derby against Fielding)

The travelling thing is a bit weird, I remember people saying in interviews how big Lee vs Saunders would be in the travelling community yet ticket sales (and general interest) struggled badly.

BJS has a decent fanbase.

I was at both the Eubank and Saunders fights and both venues would of been complete and utter ghost towns if it wasnt for him.
