Merry Christmas guys I've had a nightmare 2016 done a lot of stuff I'm not proud of! But my promise to u is I'll return 2017 takeover.

It's not like Tyson Fury to make outlandish claims, so I'm confident there's no reason to doubt him here.

It may take more than 12 months to clear the doping and coke charges

Does this mean that those drug allegations for both Tyson and Hughie have somehow just disappeared?

Nope I've mentioned it on every Fury thread recently because it's being sweet under the rug.

The bloke has a long history of tweeting a load of old bollocks. How do you even know it was him that tweeted it? It's long been said that other Fury's have access to his Twitter. It might be "tongue in cheek".

It's a tweet, not a photo of him with gloves on, not a press conference, not some training footage, let alone a scheduled fight, and even then he might not walk over the top rope.

It means almost literally nothing.

He probably tweeted this after gorging his tenth plate of Xmas dinner, a line of coke up his nostrils and tucking into his 3rd case of kestrel but oh well

He might actually be serving his ban for the UKAD charge. Just checked the PED Galahad case. His ban of two years was dated from the failed test date. So if both Furys gets a two year ban from their drug test failure in the same way then the ban would expire in February 2017 only a few weeks away.

The cocaine was VADA absolutely no idea if or how that will progress. Theyre suing UKAD hence why nothing is coming out at all.


The whole situation is MESSY and far from over.

Do you think all drug cheats should ignore the commissions etc and just move on and ply their trade elsewhere?

If I know boxing, it is this: wherever a jurisdiction exists and allows fighters to compete, boxers will go there and apply their trade. Besides, as far as I am concerned myself the BBBC is too strict and outdated with their ideals and laws. This is a sport, this isn't the humanitarian of the year award. Quit treating it as such. Sportsmen are not role models, they are just appointed as such. In this day and age, drugs (especially marijuana and cocaine) is the LEAST of boxing's problems. If it's PED's, then by all means ban them. However, a ban in the United Kingdom, isn't going to apply in say Nevada or Los Angeles or New York. The BBBC needs to "get with the times" and let fighters fight if they are mentally and physically capable of doing so, instead of making it into issues of politics and ideals of how fighters should behave, act, think, speak, etc.
