Any news about when, where and who the guy is fighting next. I didn't like is lack of respect for Francis but apart from that the guy has been a breath of fresh air in terms of ambition and doing things the right way.

However, with the Cole fight off and now Harrison not likely to feature I do worry that he may start to stagnate. He needs to stay busy.

Any ideas on who he should fight next, I like the idea of Ross Purity, but I would still accept Keith Long as he really should concentrate on obtaining the title outright, for financial stability if nothing else.

The last thing he needs with his problem with opponents pulling out is to set up a fight with Keith Long.

Why not Herbie Hide, Herbie wanted a domestic clash with Williams, that looks highly unlikely now, so why not face Skelton.

I'd like to see Skelton in with a decent European instead of Long. This isn't a fight that appeals to me in the slightest, and i'd much rather Skelton raised his ranking with a view to a future shot at the European title. He doesn't exactly have time on his side, and Long for me represents a backward step.

It makes no economic sense to pit a fighter who is now internationally famous for retiring Tyson from top flight boxing, against someone who isn't known outside of the UK. Christ, you'd never make it as a promoter. Williams is now a couple of fights from a world title shot if he plays his cards right. Skelton is still a long way off that.

Why would any promoter risk putting Danny in with someone who in world terms is a couple of steps down the ladder at this stage. If they are going to fight, do it in 2-3 fights if at all. Danny could theoretically at least be world champion in 6 months, Skelton won't be anywhere near that by then.

Say what you want about Tyson, but in order to 'win the lottery' as you put it, you have to 'buy a ticket' as they say. It's all well and good saying that Tyson was past it, but do you think Audley, Skelton or Keith long would have done that to Mike, not on your nelly they wouldn't.

Tyson has only ever been beaten by guys who brought heat to bear on him, and whilst SKelton is tough, he wouldn't have had the same level of skill and punching technique as Danny.

Danny made Tyson shot, because for the first 3 rounds, until Danny cut him and started hammering him with some hard counters, he looked as good as he had done in years. Sure he was a lot slower than his heyday, but christ, who isn't at 38?

Matt Skelton makes the most of what he's got. I tip my hat to him. But he dont belong in the same ring as the Williams that beat Tyson the other week.

I think this just shows how low your/our expectations have become over the years. A perfectly good matchup between our two top Heavyweights is neither being naive nor talking bollocks.

Of course I understand what you are saying and totally understand why the fight will not happen AND why I would not put it on either (were I the promoter of the pair), but it still emphasises why boxing is for a large part of the time, a frustrating sport to follow.

But I'm not an aspiring promoter or allegedly fan, I like watching good boxing matches thus am entitled to complain when I see them both fighting on the same card on Oct 9th.

Do I think Audley or Skelton would have done that to Tyson last Friday? Quite possibly actually.

Skelton needs to defend his British title - Outside of Harrison who is better than Long - Hide is probably finished, Williams should be looking at better things and we don't want to see Skelton vs Sprott II for a long (no pun) time.

Its his best match up and I predict a tough one for Skelton.
