Great news for McDonnell. Anyone know much about Vargas? I can't remember if I've seen him or not.

Used to piss me off that Warrington would headline at home and Jamie McDonnell has high risk fights away

Just think how much more McDonnell earns now compared to when he was at Doncaster's football ground.

All McDonnell asks is get me the fights with the most money in it according to hearn. Also I'm pretty sure both McDonnells don't sell many tickets. Warrington sells a 10 thousand tickets.

All good points guys. I just feel he'd perhaps have a following, if he built one. But it's very late in the game, now and I can see why he goes where the money is. Just frustrates the hell out of me, as someone from Doncaster, that I never get to see him fight live. That as a world champion on a serious run of tough opponents, he never headlines.

I'm pretty sure hobson took a hit on the show to get jamie home advantage wen he won the world title. But can see your point. Similar to the Midlands no real big shows on for a long time but now matchroom will push Yafai and eggington.

York Hall ? Can't see Matchroom putting on another Arena show with Haye /Bellew then Josh coming up , this is where Matchroom are going to struggle now they've only got London , Birmingham , Manchester , Liverpool to put regular shows on , can't really plan Wales & Scotland too far ahead and it's obvious they don't want to go to Hull anymore .

Would have thought they'd bump this two weeks and put it on Haye/Bellew card. Gavin can bore the place out in a chief support slot and keep things on schedule for the TV people.

Not sure about Coyle v Yates on the undercard. In terms of what that really does for either of them.
Coyle's time is pretty much up, and while he's had a number of entertaining fights, isn't going to get far off the back of beating Kofi Yates. Would be a nice win if Yates can get it, but I think it's pretty lopsided.

You can get 2.87 on McDonnell with bet365. Hopefully those odds drift on Vargas as I'll be backing him here. If I can get 1.7 I'll be loving life.
