Eubanks would have got the ITV deal and Poxon would have been the lowest priced promotor willing to work with the Eubanks...It's an admin function as I see it.

I'd suggest it is because RP is way cheaper than FW and EH, far more compliant/grateful as well for the business and probably the ideal middle man/fixer who does exactly what the network tells him to do.....

...... and ITV don't have to buy a whole stable of house fighters or get entangled in a long-term deal, they can bid for a particular fight that might do some good business and if it does not work then they can walk away from it and just try another fighter. Cherry-picking in other words.

Poxon might do well out of this and we might get some nice, big fights on free-to-air into the bargain.

With FW and EH you have to sign on the dotted line and to a certain extent put yourself in their hands; with Poxon ITV get a busy, thankful freelancer who gives them a good fight night when there's a gap in the schedule.

Weirdly - Poxon makes sense all of a sudden

I'm not sure it's the majority but there are some that are without contract for sure.

Poxon will probably be used to provide undercard bouts for Eubank Jr primarily.

But we may see Etches challenge for the British on itv down the line, also with itvs backing he could end up signing a couple fighters too.

Warrington has recently left match room, maybe a link up with Poxon would make sense for him.

Easily done this time of year.
He also signed Nurse so expect some Yorkshire shows next year. Heard he wants to have the Leather brothers on the undercards aswell (even though they are from Middlesborough Ithink )

It makes it easier for matchroom to get rid of fighters when they're past their sell by date.most of Joe Gallaghers, don't have contracts.

I think Middlesbrough is technically in North Yorkshire, but it is still a bit of a trek to Leeds for their fans.

Less of a trek than they're used to though to be fair, I've seen Josh fight in Wolverhampton and Liverpool (both a lot further) and he's still had good support at both.
