Hughie is a novice pup who hasn't even got above southern area level but lives off his klan name. His chutzpah about meeting AJ is like scrappy do barking loudly "lemme at him lemme at him". Both Wilder and AJ would reduce him to roadkill in one round. The big oaf Tyson should stop his trembling Teresa act outside the ring and put his arrse and soul into a big fight he has tens of millions to earn and hes pissing it away like a nervous Nellie outside the ring, picking on lennie lewis "one of our world champions" as Adam Smith would put it.........

I have seen absolutely nothing in Hughie which suggests he is remotely close to being able to operate at world level. Not saying he can't improve; he's big, very young for the weight and has talent, but at this stage Joshua would just walk straight through him and end it when he fancied.

His lack of power is also cause for alarm in an era when any step up to elite level appears, at the minute, to mean stepping up to face some massive punchers.

I think Hughie Fury is talented, very talented considering how young he is.

However we will only see how good he is when he steps up.

It's a difficult one as you could argue at 22 he is still the best part of 10 years away from his prime so there is no rush, but now he is being talked about at world level you cant really expect him to keep learning his trade.

I have watched every fight that hughie has ever faught

He has never really lost many rounds and is very skillful but I don't think he has the power to trouble top class heavyweights

Bookies have him even money against Parker but I don't think he should be.

It will be interesting to see when he steps up

Definitely but would you say he is British level? I have a question mark over that, he should be looking to face Whyte or chisora imo before talking about stepping up to world honours. Tysons Fury's success was in no small part to do with working his way through the ranks and learning his craft. The fury that fought McDermott in comparison to the one that beat wlad was a different animal.

English title, common wealth, British, Irish, European, 2 eliminators and then hit the big ones.

I personally think AJ has made a mistake going for the world titles so early, he should have looked to face pulev and the likes first - big step up between Charles Martin and wlad. Although they are banking on wlad being past it.

Hughie Fury is yet to prove he is British title level.

Pulev is too dangerous, for too little money.

I think that Hearn has made the right decision.

He hasn't stepped up yet. No one he has beaten is world level.

I haven't watched Hughie fight for ages. He's not really that accessible. At least when they were building Tyson he was on channel 5 so we got to see a lot of his early career, his step ups against known opponents...

I mean, Tyson didn't fight BRILLIANT guys but at least we knew who Kevin Johnson was (still useful back then, too), who Chisora was, who Martin Rogan was, who Steve Cunningham was... Even John McDermott, we knew who the lad was: there was a degree of excitement in all of those fights.

There's no buzz about Hughie at all. Maybe he's brilliant but I've no interest in watching him until he fights somebody I want to see him fight.

AJ's looked much more like a world class fighter to me, and his resume is also stronger than Hughie's.
