Russell is very talented but terribly inactive. Glad to see him back, but he should be fighting 2-3 times per year, not 1.

Lol at Russell. Who exactly is he waiting for? I read some piece about how he thinks he's earned the right to be selective about fights, but can anyone name an actual meaningful win he has?

Russell is a joke. So talented but is going to retire with a small fraction of what he could have made. Dude should be a star.

He doesn't have one. Looking at his record it's bums, stepping stones, gate keepers up until he lost to Lomachenko. Then a decent (but not great) win over Gonzalez. And that's it.
Oh and Patrick Hyland which was a joke of a title defence.

Good card but Marcus Browne should be rematching Radivoje Kalajdzic. He clearly lost that fight

Good comeback fight for him.
There's a good chance that he will lose.

Yes it is. FYI, boxrec has the least reliable schedule on the net. Gary won't be fighting that night.

Fair enough. What's your source?

Broner vs Granados is very intriguing. Granados has the kinda style that gives Broner and his Mayweather wannabe defense problems. I'll be rooting for him.
If Gary Russell is in fact on this card against Oscar Escandon he'll win every round. Escandon is crap.
Charlo vs Hatley is a very interesting bout. I favor Charlo by decision there.
The Browne vs Thomas Williams Jr. bout should be a fun action fight while it lasts.

I've never pulled up an I told you so thread before. I wouldn't now except you already tried it with another incorrect blog. Just keep in mind you're not the only one with sources.

Never watched Marcus Browne before but on paper his bout with Top Dog looks a good one. Williams is clearly a level or two below the elite but if this fight is anything like the Edwin Rodriguez fight it'll be worth a watch.

Tell that to the most appropriate opponents for Russell, such as: Frampton, Santa Cruz, Mares, Cuellar, and Selby -- all chicken-hearts.
